摘要： The present invention provides a slide fastener which can exhibit a clear retroreflective phenomenon by providing retroreflective functions to filament fastener element rows and mounting threads. The retroreflective filament slide fastener of the invention includes filament fastener element rows formed from wire rods made of thermoplastic resin which have retroreflective layers formed by covering surfaces of the filament fastener element rows with retroreflective paint. A synthetic fiber thread is used as the mounting thread for mounting the filament fastener element rows to a fastener tape. The mounting thread is provided with a retroreflective layer by covering a surface of the synthetic fiber thread with the retroreflective paint, or winding or twisting a retroreflective film around or together with the synthetic fiber thread. Thus, the filament fastener element rows and the mounting thread which are the most conspicuous in the slide fastener can easily exhibit the retroreflective phenomenon.

摘要： A fluid-tight slide fastener of the type in which an inner longitudinal edge portion of each of opposed tapes is folded so as to extend around base portions of successive I-shaped coupling elements and in which successive U-shaped first clamping strips surround, in clinched form, the folded edge portion over the base portion of the respective coupling element, each of opposed top stops includes an elongate plate of an I-shaped cross section corresponding to the shape of the coupling elements and having a base part surrounded by the folded edge portion of the tape, and a second clamping strip of a C-shaped cross section corresponding to the shape of the first clamping strips and surrounding, in clinched form, the folded edge portion over the base part of the elongate plate. When the slide fastener is fully closed, the opposed top stops are entirely received in the guide channel of a slider.

摘要： The invention relates to a slide fastener, which is particularly well suited for ornamental purposes. The slide fastener comprises teeth, which are arranged in two juxtaposed rows so that each teeth is adapted to interlock with adjacent teeth of the opposite row. The slide fastener is adapted to be opened and closed by a slider. The slide fastener should have a high flexibility in conjunction with a higher stability and should be adapted to carry ornamental stones or to be used as an ornamental fastener in itself. Besides, the slide fasteners, with the exception of the slider, should be adapted to be made as an endless strip on a machine. And the slide fastener should be adapted to be used as an ornamental braid without a textile carrying strap. Such ornamental braid should have a slider for opening and closing the braid and for adjusting its length. To accomplish said objects each tooth of the slide fastener has a preferably rounded rear portion that is enlarged in width and adjacent teeth of the same row are interconnected by laterally protruding lugs and/or pins so that they are movable relative to each other. In another embodiment each tooth has a preferably rounded rear portion which is enlarged in width and the rear portions of the teeth of each row are relatively movably connected by crosspins to a textile fabric consisting particularly of a strap.

摘要： A slide fastener including a first elongated guide member with a longitudlly extending closure edge that is incrementally forced into intimate engagement with a longitudinally extending mating edge of a second elongated guide member in response to movement of a slide member. Opposite longitudinal edges of the guide members are adapted for attachment to the edges of flexible sheets of material that are to be joined. Distributed along the mating edge are a plurality of removable male coupling elements that enter and latch with female coupling elements distributed along the closure edge in response to movement of the slide member. The coupling elements comprise resilient latching portions formed by spaced apart resilient spring legs that are compressed by the female elements during entry thereinto and expand into latching engagement therewith after complete entry. Preferably, the female elements define openings that have smaller dimensions than the spacing between the resilient legs of the latching portions.

Each link is square in outline with the diagonals all lying on the longitudinal axis of the fastener and each link carries a laterally and diagonally projecting coupling head. The top side of each element is formed with a longitudinally extending notch in which the stitches of the attachment tread lie. The underside of each element is provided with pointed claw-like projections which engage the fabric to which the element is to be fastened and can even serve as welding spots for bonding of the element to the textile base. Such coupling elements can be sewn directly to the fabric with conventional sewing machines.
