Abstract: Unique systems, methods, techniques and apparatuses of inrush current detection and reduction are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment is a method for transmitting power to a load comprising operating a solid-state switching device of a power distribution network device with a microcontroller-based controller, the solid-state switching device including a gate and structured to receive a signal with the gate so as to control the switching device to receive power from a power source and selectively provide power including an output current to the load; detecting an overcurrent condition in the output current; operating the solid-state switching device in order to determine the load is a capacitive load in a charging condition in response to detecting an overcurrent condition; and operating the solid-state switching device so as to reduce the magnitude of the output current during the charging condition.

Abstract: An electrical quantity measuring system includes an electrical circuit of an electrical distribution network and an electrical quantity measuring apparatus. The apparatus includes a synchronization module structured to generate a synchronization signal; and a first measurement apparatus connectable to an electrical circuit and structured to receive the synchronization signal and provide a first Fourier transform coefficients representing a first electrical quantity associated with the electrical circuit and a first delay value depending on a time offset between a measurement instant associated with the measure of the first electrical quantity and a reception instant of the synchronization signal at the first measurement apparatus. The measuring apparatus also comprises a processing module structured to process the first Fourier transform coefficients and the first delay value and provide first time-shifted Fourier transform coefficients representing a first synchronized measured electrical quantity.

Abstract: A method for configuring an electronic relay for an electric power distribution grid. The method includes the following steps: providing a graphic user interface on a computer display, the graphic user interface including graphic resources activatable by a user; providing first graphic resources on the graphic user interface to assist a user in selecting a set of protection functionalities to be provided by the electronic relay; providing second graphic resources on the graphic user interface to assist a user in providing configuration values to configure operating parameters processed by the electronic relay to provide the selected set of protection functionalities, the operating parameters comprising first protection parameters related to voltage protection functionalities and second protection parameters related to frequency protection functionalities; checking whether the electronic relay meets minimum operating requirements to operate; and if the electronic relay meets minimum operating requirements, transmitting configuration information including the configuration values to the electronic relay.

Abstract: An electrical cabinet comprising a frame that defines an internal space and an openable door for accessing said internal space hingedly attached to said frame by hinging means, said hinging means comprising at least a frame hinge fixed to said frame and a corresponding door hinge fixed to said door. The frame hinge comprises a first shaped body having a first fixing plate fixed to said frame, a first and a second hinge wings protruding form said first fixing plate opposite to said frame and forming an insertion window in said first shaped body, said first and second hinge wings having respectively a first and a second seat aligned in a direction parallel to said first fixing plate and positioned at the end of said insertion window. The door hinge comprises a second shaped body having a second fixing plate fixed to said door, a third hinge wing protruding from said second fixing plate opposite to said door and forming a housing space in said second shaped body, said third hinge wing being inserted into said insertion window of said first shaped body and being provided with a third seat. The hinging means further comprise: a first hinge pin which is inserted into said first and second seats of said first and second hinge wings and closing said insertion window; first blocking means which are inserted into said third seat in a direction substantially perpendicular to said first hinge pin, said first blocking means closing said housing space in said second shaped body and blocking said first hinge pin.

Abstract: The present application provides a residual-current protection device and a tripper. The residual-current protection device comprises: a flux transformer receiving a residual-current signal; a tripping output element outputting ON/OFF signals; an energy storage mechanism adapted to switch between an energy storage state and an energy release state, the energy storage mechanism having a locking unit that locks the energy storage mechanism in the energy storage state; and a transmission mechanism braked by the flux transformer, which drives the tripping output element to move and drives state of the energy storage mechanism to switch; the transmission mechanism comprising: a first rack cooperating with the locking unit, a second rack driving the tripping output element, and a reduction gear with a big gear engaged with the first rack and a small gear engaged with the second rack. By means of the gear rack transmission mechanism of the residual-current protection device, reduction transmission can be effected, driving force needed by energy storage may be reduced, and thus design requirements as high transmission efficiency, easy processing and assembly as well as low costs can be satisfied.
