    Abstract: This application provides a method for determining a time-domain resource used for grant-free transmission. The method includes: obtaining, by a terminal device, a first time-domain period and a second time-domain period of grant-free transmission resources, where a size of the first time-domain period is P1 time units, a size of the second time-domain period is P2 time units, and P1 is greater than or equal to P2; obtaining, by the terminal device, a quantity k of grant-free transmission resources in the first time-domain period; and determining, by the terminal device based on the first time-domain period, the second time-domain period, and the quantity k of grant-free transmission resources in the first time-domain period, an index of a time unit in which a grant-free transmission resource used for grant-free transmission is located. In this way, grant-free transmission resources configured for the terminal device in two adjacent periods do not overlap.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present application provide methods and devices for use in User Equipment (UE) cooperation. A packet transmitted between a base station and a UE or between UEs includes a packet destination identifier that identifies a destination of the packet. A receiving the packet from a base station or another UE can determine whether the UE is the destination of the packet. When the UE is the destination of the packet, the UE decodes the packet. When the UE is not the destination of the packet, the UE forwards the packet to another UE. The packet may include a packet source identifier that can be used by the destination to determine where the packet originated. In some instances, the cooperative UEs do not need to decode the entire packet to be able to determine the destination of the packet and therefore can forward the packet along with less processing.

    Abstract: Uplink synchronization may be achieved without adjusting for timing advance by using longer/larger cyclic prefix durations to compensate for differences in propagation delays, including the cell round-trip delays and environment based multipath delays. In this way, timing advance reference signaling may be omitted from the uplink transmissions. The cyclic prefix duration may be determined based on a characteristic of a base station's coverage area, such as a coverage area size or coverage area type. For example, a longer cyclic prefix length may be used when a base station has a larger coverage area than when the base station has a smaller coverage area. As another example, a different cyclic prefix length may be used for different coverage types. The method provided in this embodiment improves the capabilities of automatic driving and ADAS of electric vehicles. The method can be applied to vehicle networking, such as V2X, LTE-V, V2X, etc.

    Abstract: In accordance to embodiments, methods, devices, and systems for determining initial transmissions in grant-free transmissions are disclosed. A UE receives a resource configuration for grant-free (GF) transmissions. The resource configuration comprises a periodicity parameter (P), a repetition number (K), and a sequence of redundancy version (RV) numbers corresponding to one or more RV types. The periodicity parameter defines a period having K transmission occasions (TOs), and each of the K TOs is associated with one RV number in the sequence of RV numbers. The UE performs an initial GF transmission of data in a TO of the K TOs in the period defined by the periodicity parameter. The TO is associated with an RV number corresponding to RV0.
