A stream of a liquid mixed with particle members is ejected toward an edge to be beveled of the recess thereby to bevel the recess. After the edge is beveled by deburring the edge, the recess is finished by removing a bulge formed on an outer surface of the edge by deburring the edge.

摘要： An ink jet recording method forms an ink jet image on a recording medium by serially moving an ink jet recording head having a plurality of ink discharge ports arranged in an array along a conveyance direction of the recording medium. The method includes the step of providing a platen having a planar section upstream in the conveyance direction and a slant section slanted downstream in the conveyance direction and in a direction parting from the ink discharge ports, opposed to an array of the ink discharge ports when the ink jet recording head serially moves. The method further includes the step of forming an ink jet image on the recording medium by ink discharge from the ink discharge ports when the ink jet recording head moves at least three times across a same area of the recording medium, a reverse side of which is supported by the platen.

摘要： An ink jet recording apparatus, in which a recording head records on a recording medium disposed above a platen, includes a carriage for moving the recording head, a recovery mechanism having a contacting member, a guide shaft and a limiting mechanism. The guide shaft guides the carriage to a recording area and to a separate recovery area, and positions the recovery mechanism so that the contacting member is capable of contacting the surface of the recording head on which an ink discharge port is provided. The limiting mechanism has a guide surface and an elastic member, and limits the rotational movement of the carriage with respect to the guide shaft; the elastic member maintains the position of the carriage with respect to the platen at the recording area by applying an elastic force to the guide member.

摘要： The present invention provides a recording system including a recording head for performing recording on a sheet, a first rotary member disposed at a downstream side of the recording head and contacting an unrecorded surface of the sheet on which the recording is performed by the recording head and adapted to apply a feeding force to the sheet, and a second rotary member being provided at its peripheral surface with a plurality of teeth and contacting a recorded surface of the sheet with the tips of the teeth thereof, and cooperating with the first rotary member to feed the sheet. The plural teeth of the second rotary member are staggered with other teeth in a direction transverse to a sheet feeding direction. A member is provided to clean the first and second rotary members.

摘要： A silicon oxide depositing source is a mixture of a metallic silicon powder and a silicon dioxide powder. Both the powders are finely divided to a mean particle size of up to 20 .mu.m. They are mixed to give an oxygen to silicon atom ratio between 1.2:1 and 1.7:1. The source is adapted to be evaporated by an electron beam heating technique, allows the power of an electron beam to be increased without a splash phenomenon, and eventually deposits a silicon oxide thin film having transparency and improved barrier properties.
