Abstract: An access point (AP) may prioritize the allocation of uplink resources between multiple basic service sets (BSSs). In some aspects, the AP may select one of a plurality of BSSs, may allocate one or more random-access resource units (RUs) to only the selected BSS, and may transmit, for each of the selected BSSs, a respective frame indicating the random-access RUs allocated to that BSS. Wireless devices belonging to the selected BSS may contend for access to the random-access RUs allocated by the frame, and then transmit uplink data using the random-access RUs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An access point (AP) may configure one or more trigger frames, which may include a number of random access resource units (RUs). A number of stations (STAs) may contend to use such random access RUs. Regulation techniques for which STAs may contend for access to random access RUs may include providing that separate subsets of random access RUs may be identified for STAs that are associated and unassociated with the AP. In some implementations, the regulation techniques enable STAs to attempt transmissions using the random access RUs when uplink-limited or if the STA has a non-empty buffer, or combinations thereof. Techniques for acknowledging receipt of an uplink transmission may include transmitting an acknowledgment using a same association identification for the acknowledgment as used in the uplink transmission, and including a STA identifier in a signaling field associated with the acknowledgment.

Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and devices are described for authenticating in a network. A mobile device may establish a group account with an authentication server associated with the group. Upon successfully completing group account establishment, the mobile device receives a group authentication token that includes information associated with the authentication server, the group, the mobile device, a group key, versioning information, etc. The mobile device may use the group authentication token to authenticate with another mobile device that is a member of the same group. The versioning information may support backwards-compatibility between the group authentication tokens having different versions.

The traffic advertisement includes a unicast message addressed to a first device of the plurality of devices. The transmitter is configured to transmit the traffic advertisement during a paging window. The receiver is configured to receive, during a data transmission window that is subsequent to the paging window, a data request from a second device of the plurality of devices. The data request is responsive to the traffic advertisement. The transmitter is further configured to send first data to the second device responsive to the data request.

Abstract: A wireless device (e.g., a station (STA)) may receive a transmission soliciting a control transmission (e.g., a soliciting transmission). The control response transmission parameter set may include a frame format, a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) format, a bandwidth, a modulation scheme, an encoding scheme, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), a number of spatial streams (NSS), and/or a PPDU duration. In some cases, the transmission parameter indicator may indicate disabling or resumption of extended range (ER) single user (SU) PPDU format usage.

The method includes, during a first transmission window of a data link group of a neighbor aware network (NAN), sending the paging message from the first device to one or more devices of the data link group. The method further includes, during a second transmission window of the data link group and prior to a data window of the second transmission window, sending data traffic to a particular device of the one or more devices without sending a traffic announcement to the particular device during a second paging window of the second transmission window.
