    Abstract: Positioning assistance data (PAD) is encoded in positioning System Information Blocks (posSIBs) and periodically broadcast by abase station in a differential manner A PAD element that is different relative to previously broadcast PAD is encoded in a block of posSIB separately from PAD that is unchanged. Another separate block of posSIB includes reference encoding identifying the changed PAD and provides scheduling information. A UE may decode the reference encoding and determine whether the UE has previously decoded the changed PAD. If the UE has previously received the PAD, but has not yet received the new or changed PAD, the UE may receive and decode the block of posSIB with only the changed PAD, thereby increasing efficiency.

    Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a network entity to configure a group of UEs to simultaneously transmit reference signals and to simultaneously transmit gradient vectors to the network entity, such that the network entity may receive the gradient vectors from the group of UEs as an aggregated gradient vector over the air. In one aspect, a base transmits, to a group of UEs, a configuration that configures the group of UEs to simultaneously transmit one or more group-common reference signals and to simultaneously transmit one or more gradient vectors associated with a federated learning procedure. The network entity receives, from the group of UEs, the one or more group-common reference signals and the one or more gradient vectors based on the configuration via multiple channels. The network entity calculates an average gradient vector based on the one or more group-common reference signals and the one or more gradient vectors.

In an aspect, a communications device determines at least one position estimation performance parameter, determines a zone identifier based at least in part upon the at least one position estimation performance parameter, wherein the zone identifier identifies one of a plurality of zones, and transmits the zone identifier to one or more UEs.     Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) determines at least one random access channel (RACH) preamble from a first set of RACH preambles, wherein the first set of RACH preambles is for positioning purposes and a second set of RACH preambles is for communication purposes, and wherein the first set of RACH preambles and the second set of RACH preambles are associated with at least one transmission-reception point (TRP), transmits, to the at least one TRP, the at least one RACH preamble to indicate that the UE is involved in a positioning session, receives, from the at least one TRP, in response to transmitting the at least one RACH preamble, an allocation of one or more resources for transmission of uplink positioning signals for the positioning session, and transmits the uplink positioning signals via the one or more resources.
