摘要： A camera includes a plurality of camera operation mechanisms, a sun gear which rotates by means of a motor, a planetary gear which revolves around the sun gear, and a plurality of output gears each capable of meshing with the planetary gear by means of revolution of the planetary gear. The plurality of output gears transmit power to the plurality of camera operation mechanisms, respectively. A holding member is switchable from a first state, in which the planetary gear is allowed to revolve freely, to a second state, in which the planetary gear is held at a revolution position where the planetary gear is in mesh with one of the plurality of output gears. A controller causes the planetary gear to revolve so as to mesh with a selected one of the plurality of output gears, and switches the holding member from the first state to the second state, after completion of a power transmitting operation.

摘要： A camera includes a plurality of camera operation mechanisms, a sun gear which rotates by means of a motor, a planetary gear which revolves around the sun gear, and a plurality of output gears each capable of meshing with the planetary gear by means of revolution of the planetary gear. The plurality of output gears transmit power to the plurality of camera operation mechanisms, respectively. An unlocking device removes backlash by causing the planetary gear to rotate temporarily in an opposite direction when the planetary gear is to be switched from one of the plurality of output gears in mesh therewith, to another one of the plurality of output gears. A locking device prevents the planetary gear and such one output gear from coming out of mesh with each other until the backlash is removed when the unlocking device causes the planetary gear to rotate in the opposite direction.

摘要： A disk array system having a plurality of disk units includes an upper-level data transfer controller for controlling transfer of data to and from an upper-level apparatus, a data buffer for temporarily storing therein data from the upper-level apparatus, a drive data transfer controller for controlling the data transfer between the buffer and the units, and a main microprocessor for controlling the the transfer controllers. When transferring data, the microprocessor indicates an address to be used in the buffer and a distribution mode of data to the data transfer controllers so that the data transfer is conducted thereafter without intervention of the microprocessor. During the transfer, the microprocessor can generate information for a subsequent data transfer to indicate the information to the transfer controllers. After a data transfer is terminated, the pertinent transfer controller can immediately execute the next data transfer, which increases the utilization efficiency of the data bus.

摘要： There is disclosed an improved sliding exhaust brake system installed on a large vehicle. The brake system comprises a housing, an exhaust gas passage, a main valve member taking the form of a flat plate, one or more exhaust pressure-adjusting holes formed in the main valve member, an auxiliary valve member, and a holding mechanism. The main valve member engages the piston rod of an air cylinder device. The auxiliary valve member can move a given distance relative to the main valve member. When the exhaust gas passage is opened or closed by the main valve member, the auxiliary valve member opens or closes the adjusting holes. At this time, the holding mechanism temporarily prevents relative movement between the the two valve members.

When the passage is closed by the main valve member, it is pushed in one direction by the front end of the piston rod. When the passage is opened, the block member engages the main valve member to move it in the opposite direction. The piston valve mechanism is biased forward by a spring.

In the distance measuring device, a photosensor receives light reflected by an object and produces two signals whose difference represent the distance to the object. An information detector integrates the signal difference over a first time period and then inversely integrates the sum of the signals over a second time period to establish a distance on the basis of the time it takes for the integrated value to reach its initial level. An infinity detector determines whether the object is at infinity on the basis of the level of the integrated value a predetermined time after the start of, but later than the end of the first period.
