Abstract:
A port assembly for a paint or similar can, in which a port in the lid is fitted with a threaded collar and a threaded stopper that fits into it. The port assembly allows easy access to the contents of the can while maintaining a good seal around the rim. If the threaded stopper is transparent and colorless, a user may view the contents of the can.
Abstract:
Protective flexible packaging is designed to allow a consumer to determine the presence or absence of an odor in a packaged object. The object is preferably a device used for emitting a volatile active material such as a fragrance and the flexible packaging is preferably a shrink wrap material. The objects are wrapped with a shrink wrap having openings comprising no more than 10% of the total surface area of the shrink wrap film on the object. Through the use of the instant invention consumers can sense the olfactory quality of a product while the product is substantially protected during shipment, storage, and display.
Abstract:
A container for storing sport balls incorporates a device for testing the playing condition of the balls. The test device is in the form of a disk with a base portion supported within the container and an indicator arm. A ball to be tested is placed into the container where it rests on the indicator arm with a portion of the ball protruding out of the open end of the container. The exposed portion of the ball is pressed against a flat surface. This deflects the indicator arm and provides a visual indication of the playing condition of the ball.
Abstract:
A can for paint white base, having a tubular body (10) with the upper edge affixing an annular upper wall portion (11), with the peripheral edge of its discharge opening (12) defining a seat onto which a removable lid (20) is seated, one of the parts defined by the upper wall portion (11) and the removable lid (20) being provided with an inspection opening (22) with a cross section substantially smaller than that of said discharge opening (12) and with its peripheral edge defining a seat for receiving and axially retaining a respective auxiliary lid (20), which is removable and constructed in a transparent material.
Abstract:
A wafer pod or container fitted with at least one magnifying lens for magnifying the size of a lot number or other identifying indicia typically inscribed on a wafer inside the pod or container. The magnifying lens enables quick and accurate visual identification of the wafers by lot number or other identifying indicia as the wafers are transported in a semiconductor wafer fabrication facility.
Abstract:
A sales packaging for electric storage batteries having a backing and a cover fastened thereto. The storage battery has a connecting cable and a connector. The cover encloses the storage battery. The connecting cable and connector are brought out of the sales packaging and are accessible without damaging the cover. The connector is arranged in an opening in the backing, removable therefrom, and the opening is surrounded by slits.

Abstract:
A container for shipping contents through the mail includes side surfaces joined at edges and meeting at comers, wherein the side surfaces and edges contain a plurality of holes that fluidly communicate from an inside of the container to an outside environment and wherein each comer where two or more of the edges meet is replaced by a hole that fluidly communicates from an inside of the container to an outside environment.
Abstract:
A tool pack comprises a board including an annular toothed portion and a rotary member. An end face of an end of the rotary member has an annular toothed portion. The end of the rotary member is engaged with the board to allow rotation of the rotary member relative to the board with the annular toothed portion of the rotary member meshing with the annular toothed portion of the board. A second end of the rotary member may be engaged with an end of a tool to rotate therewith. When the rotary member is turned, the annular toothed portion of the rotary member moves across the annular toothed portion of the board to generate clicks.
Abstract:
A kit facilitates selecting a bearing, to replace a used and perhaps defective bearing, in that the kit contains the replacement bearing encapsulated in a package that may include related components, such as a seal, dust cover and cotter pin. The package also includes a gauge which will mate with the bearing in the package at a distinguishing diameter on the bearing. One seeking to replace the used bearing fits that bearing at the distinguishing diameter on it to the gauge to determine if they mate in the same manner that the bearing mates with a machine component. If it does, the bearing in the package corresponds with the used bearing sought to be replaced. If not, one continues the comparison until a package is found having a gauge that mates with the used bearing. In lieu of the gauges being on the packages for the kits, they may be on a display which holds the kits.
