Abstract:
This invention provides a technique which allows the user to select whether or not to make print settings without any special operation such as key operations or button operations upon printing information held by a mobile terminal using a printer. To this end, in a case where it is detected that a mobile terminal is located with an NFC communication range, an NFC communication is established to exchange information so as to prepare for transition to a BT communication, information to be printed is received via the BT communication, thus printing the information. At this time, only in a case where an established state of the NFC communication is continued for a predetermined period of time since the NFC communication is established, a detailed print setting menu is displayed.
Abstract:
Some embodiments include a method of operating a computing device to learn user preferences of how to process digital images. The method can include: aggregating a user image selection and a context attribute associated therewith into a preference training database for a user, wherein the user image selection represents a record of the user's preference over at least one of adjusted versions of a base image when the adjusted versions are separately processed by different visual effects; determining a visual effect preference associated based on machine learning or statistical analysis of user image selections in the preference training database, the user image selections representing experimental records corresponding to the visual effects; updating a photo preference profile with the visual effect preference; and providing the photo preference profile to an image processor to adjust subsequently captured photographs provided to the image processor.
Abstract:
A communication system (S) exchanges data between a plurality of devices to execute a predetermined function. In addition, the communication system (S) connects one device and one other device by a plurality of difference communication methods, and in a case of data transfer being interrupted during data transfer by a first communication method, controls so as to establish the first communication method by way of a second communication method, and then causes data transfer by the first communication method to restart.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an image processing method for generating a mosaic of images. The method includes selecting a cover image from a plurality of images and dividing the cover image into a number of grid blocks. For each grid block, the average color (or other parameter) is calculated and each grid block is assigned a sub-content based on the color matching. Mosaic generation information is transmitted to a server, the mosaic generation information including a list of sub-content to be displayed in the mosaic, each sub-content including corresponding grid block location information. A server verifies whether each of the sub-content exists on the server and transmits sub-content not present on the server, to the server. The mosaic is displayed on a display of a portable terminal the sub-content using the mosaic generation information so that the cover image is reproduced to form of a mosaic of sub-content that represents the cover image and each sub-content includes additional information specific to each sub-content.
Abstract:
In a printing system in which a digital camera (DSC) and PD printer apparatus are directly connected via a USB, and image data is transmitted from the DSC to the PD printer apparatus and printed, Capability of the PD printer apparatus is transmitted from the PD printer apparatus to the DSC after communication procedures are established by an application (NCDP) installed in the PD printer apparatus and DSC. The PD printer apparatus is caused to execute print operation in accordance with print conditions set by the DSC on the basis of the transmitted Capability.
Abstract:
An image processing device may include a control unit. The control unit may be operable, in a first mode, to control display on a display screen of a representative image of a group of images and, in a second mode, to control display on the display screen of an image of the group of images corresponding to a posture of the device. In addition, the control unit may be operable to switch between operation in the first mode and the second mode.
Abstract:
A server device that includes a receiving unit, a browse page creation unit, a mail creation unit, and a mail transmission unit. The receiving unit receives an image transmitted from an electronic camera via a wireless network. The browse page creation unit creates a browse page for browsing the transmitted image from the electronic camera, the image having been received by the receiving unit. The mail creation unit creates a notification mail for introducing the browse page that has been created by the browse page creation unit to a person other than a user of the electronic camera. Furthermore, the mail transmission unit transmits the notification mail that has been created by the mail creation unit to a specified mail address.
Abstract:
Some of the embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method comprising receiving image data generated by an imaging device. The image data represents an image captured by the imaging device and the image includes image edges. The method further comprises receiving sensor data related to sensor gain used by the imaging device for capturing the image, and adjusting the image data to modify sharpness of the image edges of the image. The adjusting is based, at least in part, on the sensor data.
Abstract:
An image handling support system extracts an image corresponding to a support target image from images associated with a user with use of information indicating association established between the user and the images, from a user's activity on an SNS. Then, the image handling support system supports handling of the support target image based on the extracted image. The image handling support system provides support for acquisition of an output image that matches various image conditions and complies with a user's preference without requiring a complicated operation to be performed in advance.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus is connected to a client device and has an infrared cut filter to cut infrared light, a toggling unit to toggle an infrared cut filter state between on and off, and reception, control, and transmission units. The reception unit receives automatic adjustment information relating to the state, along with an imaging setting command for the imaging apparatus to automatically control the state. The control unit automatically controls the toggling unit based on the imaging setting command. The transmission unit transmits setting information relating to the automatic adjustment information to the client device. The setting information transmitted by the transmission unit indicates whether automatic adjustment information used by the control unit can be set in each of a case where the state is turned on to enable the infrared cut filter or a case where the state is turned off to disable the infrared cut filter.
