    摘要: A dynamic range is widened by effectively using an output range that is originally possessed by a solid-state image-capturing device, and an image having less color hue rotation is obtained.By using the fact that the margin until the amount of saturation electric charge is reached becomes large as a result of the amount of exposure being set to be low in a high sensitivity mode, an RGB signal having a wide dynamic range containing signal components of a subject on the high-luminance side is obtained. First, γ correction close to a power γ is performed and thereafter, the signal is color-space-converted into a luminance signal and color-difference signals. A non-linear compression process is performed on the luminance signal so as to be fit into predetermined gradations, and for the color-difference signals, color rotation is reduced using a power gamma and color-difference matrix clipping is performed.

The sensor detects an image to generate a first image signal with an RGB format. The controller comprises an image processor and a subsequent processor. The image processor converts the first image signal to a second image signal with a YUY2 format. The subsequent processor adjusts a plurality of luma components, a plurality of first chroma components, and a plurality of second chroma components of the second image signal to obtain a plurality of adjusted luma components, a plurality of first adjusted chroma components, and a plurality of second adjusted chroma components of a third image signal. A host receives the third image signal output by the camera, and uses a Direct Show module to convert the third image signal to a fourth image signal with an RGB format.

    摘要: Systems and methods for converting between a first color space format and a second color space format are described herein. The system receives a video cell in a first color space format comprising a plurality of pixels. Each pixel in the cell has a luminance value and a chrominance value. The luminance values of each pixel are compared to determine the brightest pixel in the received cell. The cell is downsampled to generate a second cell in a second color space format. The second cell in the second color space format comprises a downsampled chrominance value that is computed based at least in part on the chrominance value of the brightest pixel. The method advantageously reduces tinting of a high intensity pixel by the chrominance component of a neighboring low-intensity pixel.

For instance, the method of some embodiments converts the color of an image from one color region (e.g., from a Rec. 601 color region) to another color region (e.g., to a Rec. 709 color region). In some embodiments, the method receives the image in a first color format that is non-linearly encoded within a first color region. Without performing a linearization operation to linearize the color component values of the image, the method then converts the image into a second color format that is defined with respect to a second color region. In some embodiments, the color-converted image is non-linearly encoded in the second color region.
