摘要: A fan rotor for a ram air fan includes a hub and blades extending radially outwards from the hub. The hub includes an inner hub portion, a disk portion connected to a radially outer surface of the inner hub portion, and an outer hub portion connected to a radially outer surface of the disk portion. The outer hub portion has an upstream arm with a compound contoured surface. The compound contoured surface is configured to direct air flow around the compound contoured surface and along roots of the blades.

摘要: A subcutaneously implantable device includes a housing, a clip attached to the housing, a prong, and an electrode. The clip is configured to anchor the device to a muscle, a bone, and/or a first tissue. The prong has a base portion attached to the housing, an arm portion extending from the base portion so as to define a first plane that includes opposite ends of the arm portion of the prong and is perpendicular to a horizontal plane of the housing, and a contact portion that is configured to contact an organ, a nerve, the first tissue, and/or a second tissue. The contact portion is angled away from the first plane. The electrode is at the contact portion of the prong. The electrode is configured to contact the organ, the nerve, the first tissue, and/or a second tissue. Circuitry in the housing is in electrical communication with the electrode and is configured to provide monitoring, therapeutic, and/or diagnostic capabilities with respect to the organ, the nerve, the first tissue, and/or the second tissue.

摘要: A probe head of an air data probe includes an insert, a portion of a heater, an outer shell, a tip weld, and a braze. The insert includes a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a body portion extending between the first end and the second end. The body portion includes a groove. The portion of the heater is positioned within the groove. The outer shell surrounds the insert and the portion of the heater. The outer shell includes a tip portion defining a first end of the outer shell and a body portion extending from the tip portion defining a second end of the outer shell. The tip weld is between the outer shell and the first end of the insert, and the braze is between the insert and the second end of the outer shell adjacent a second end of the insert. The portion of the heater is hermetically sealed between the insert and the outer shell.

The cooling system has an air inlet, a cooling channel, and an aperture. The cooling channel forms a flow path having a first axial section, a second axial section, a radially inward section, and a radially outward section.

摘要: A method of determining wear of a seal element includes rotating a seal plate relative to the seal element and such that the seal plate and the seal element form a rotational sealing interface. The seal element includes an insert embedded in the seal element. A portion of the seal element is worn with a sealing face of the seal plate. The insert is contacted with the sealing face of the seal plate. A portion of the insert is worn to create a wear particle of the insert. The presence of the wear particle in a lubrication oil is sensed with an oil monitoring system.

The multi-helical core section fluidly connects the inlet header to the outlet header via a plurality of laterally distributed helical tubes, each helical tube corresponding to one of the plurality of first fluid branches and oriented parallel to all others of the plurality of helical tubes at each axial location along the first fluid axis.
