Abstract:
A method for reengineering of a business process. The method includes extracting baseline information requirements of at least one business process, wherein the step of extracting includes interviewing a process owner of each of the sub-processes of the business process based on a predetermined questionnaire and quantifying information requirements of each of the sub-processes of the business process based on the questionnaire. The method also includes displaying the baseline information requirements in a predetermined matrix structure and prioritizing opportunities for removing information bottlenecks in the at least one business process using the predetermined matrix structure.
Abstract:
A handle for a window operator. The handle (10) is formed by a lever handle rotatably coupled to a mounting (12) which is pivotally mountable by pivot axles (22). A spigot mount (15) of the handle (10) is hingedly connected to a drive shaft (18) which is engageable with the drive mechanism of the operator. Clearances (16) and (23) of the spigot mount (15) and mounting (12) respectively can be aligned at a certain angular position of the lever handle (11) relative to the mounting (12) to enable the handle (11) and mounting (12) to be pivotally moved about the axis of axles (22). A latch operating member (29) can be coupled to the mounting (12) so that as the mounting (12) is pivotally moved about the axis of axles (22) the latch operating member can be moved to operate a window latch.
Abstract:
Cooling apparatus comprises a vacuum chamber, an inner chamber positioned within the vacuum chamber adapted to contain a coolant for cooling target apparatus, and a mechanical refrigerator for refrigerating the coolant and having at least one cooled part in contact with the coolant. The mechanical refrigerator is coupled to one or each of the vacuum chamber and inner chamber through vibration-reducing couplings, so as to reduce the effect upon the target apparatus of vibrations from the mechanical refrigerator.
Abstract:
A method and system for continually storing and cataloguing streams of broadcast content, allowing real-time searching and real-time results display of all catalogued video. A bank of video recording devices store and index all video content on any number of broadcast sources. This video is stored along with the associated program information such as program name, description, airdate and channel. A parallel process obtains the text of the program, either from the closed captioning data stream, or by using a speech-to-text system. Once the text is decoded, stored, and indexed, users can then perform searches against the text, and view matching video immediately along with its associated text and broadcast information. Users can retrieve program information by other methods, such as by airdate, originating station, program name and program description. An alerting mechanism scans all content in real-time and can be configured to notify users by various means upon the occurrence of a specified search criteria in the video stream. The system is preferably designed to be used on publicly available broadcast video content, but can also be used to catalog private video, such as conference speeches or audio-only content such as radio broadcasts.

Abstract:
A logic circuit operates write receivers in a dynamic random access memory device in either a low-power mode, high write latency mode or a high-power mode, low write latency mode. The logic circuit receives a first signal indicative of whether the high-power, low write latency mode has been enabled, a second signal indicative of whether a row of memory cells in the memory device is active, a third signal indicative of whether the memory device is being operated in a power down mode, and a fourth signal indicative of whether read transmitters in the memory device are active. The logic circuit maintains power to the write receivers whenever the high-power, low write latency mode has been enabled if a row of memory cells in the memory device is active, the memory device is not being operated in the power down mode, and the read transmitters in the memory device are not active.
