    摘要: First and second columnar spacers are formed on a color filter substrate, and step films are formed on an active matrix substrate in the same step as signal lines. The columnar spacers are formed by proximity exposure, and the step films are formed by being exposed by a lens projection system. In plan view, the step films are disposed inside the columnar spacers. The first columnar spacers are made to be in contact with the regions of the protective film that are higher in elevation with the step films in the active matrix substrate.

    摘要: Provided is a heat-shrinkable polyester film satisfying: (A) a heat shrinkage percentage of 10% to 50% in a maximum shrinkage direction in a hot water at 70° C., (B) a heat shrinkage percentage of not less than 75% in a maximum shrinkage direction, and not more than 10% in an orthogonal to the maximum shrinkage direction in a hot water at 85° C., (C) a heat shrinkage percentage difference ΔX(%)=X0−X10 of a sample is 10% to 20%, wherein, X0 and X10 are defined as follows, X0(%): a heat shrinkage percentage in a maximum shrinkage direction in a hot water at 95° C.; and X10(%): a heat shrinkage percentage in a maximum shrinkage direction of a film having experienced heat shrink by 10% in a maximum shrinkage direction; (D) a three-dimensional surface roughness Δa gives 0.008 to 0.04; and (E) a three-dimensional surface roughness SRz gives 0.6 to 1.5 micrometers. Even in use for full label usage, the heat-shrinkable polyester film has excellent quality after shrink-finishing, reinforcement function of containers after wrapped by shrinking, and blocking resistance, and furthermore exhibits excellent film-formation property, and processability as well. In addition, the present invention provides a heat-shrinkable polyester film having ultraviolet absorptivity, and a heat-shrinkable polyester film roll exhibiting uniform heat shrinkage properties over whole of a long film.

    摘要: An optical disc recording and/or reproducing apparatus in which an opening is provided on a cabinet and a disc tray provided with a through portion is supported so as to be capable of reciprocating so that the opening can be opened and closed. The disc tray is provided with a shutter which is positioned to open at least a part of the through portion when the opening is in the closed state. The shutter is positioned to close at least a part of the opened through portion when the opening is changed from the closed state to the opened state. Accordingly, by such structure and methodology, increase in temperature of the components mounted on an optical pickup can be reduced.

    摘要: A vapor phase epitaxy apparatus having a processing chamber with a target workpiece such as a wafer being received therein is disclosed. This apparatus includes a first flow path which supplies the chamber with a gas needed for vapor phase epitaxial film formation on the wafer, and a valve unit for controlling the gas flow in the first flow path. The apparatus also includes a second flow path for supplying into the chamber a cleaner gas for cleaning of the interior of the chamber, and a third flow path for exhaust of residual gases within the chamber. The valve unit has a series combination of two-stage valves with a pressure switch being provided therebetween. An irregular gas mixture avoiding method for use with the apparatus is also disclosed.

    摘要: A data wiring is provided on a glass substrate in an active element substrate. For the data wiring, a first portion, extending in a direction that slopes and forms a fixed angle with respect to the rubbing direction of an oriented film, and a second portion, extending in a direction sloping to the opposite side of the first portion are alternately arranged and formed in a zigzag pattern. Furthermore, a convex insulation film is formed in a zigzag pattern so as to cover the data wiring and a common electrode is formed in a zigzag pattern so as to cover the insulation film. Additionally, the shielding layer is formed in a zigzag pattern on an opposing substrate such that it completely covers the insulation film and does not protrude from the region directly above the common electrode. Because of this, a high-contrast, multi-domain system in-plane switching type liquid crystal display device can be obtained with a high numerical aperture and low black brightness.

    摘要: Heat-shrinkable polyester films, each having a heat shrinkability of 5-60% after treatment in hot water at 70° C. for 5 seconds and 65-95% after treatment in hot water at 85° C. for 5 seconds, both in the main shrinkage direction of the film, and 10% or lower after treatment in hot water at 85° C. for 5 seconds in a direction perpendicular to the main shrinkage direction of the film, the heat-shrinkage stress in the main shrinkage direction of the film being 13 MPa or smaller, and the film haze being lower than 10%, exhibits excellent shrinkage finish in appearance with only rare occurrence of wrinkles, shrinkage spots and strains by shrinkage; therefore, these films are suitable for full labels on bottles, particularly for full labels on PET bottles.
