Abstract:
To realize a dot pattern which can be read even by a frame buffer of which algorithm for search is simple and of which resolution is low without sacrificing an information dot for defining a direction of a block. There is provided a dot pattern, wherein a plurality of reference points is provided in an area of a block having a predetermined information dot arranged thereon; a plurality of virtual reference points to be defined is arranged from the reference points (for example, a central point of a grid area); an information dot is arranged, of which information is defined by a distance and a direction from the virtual reference point; and at least the information dot at the predetermined position is made into a direction dot showing the direction of the block by a direction from the virtual reference point.

Abstract:
By generating in advance intermediate images which have the same resolution as a stereoscopic image that is the final output image, and which integrate pixels for respective viewpoints, generation of a stereoscopic image is possible only by converting the pixel arrangement without using a high-speed and specialised computer or the like. Furthermore, using intermediate images in which images for respective viewpoints are arranged in a shape of tiles, a completely new stereoscopic image generation system can be realised in which a simple and low-cost stereoscopic image generation device generates stereoscopic images from intermediate images output or transmitted in a more standard format by a standard image output device such as a Blu-ray player, an STB, or an image distribution server.
Abstract:
A dot pattern including a block defined as a rectangular area of a square or a rectangle of a medium face, such as printed matter. A straight line in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction configuring a frame of the block each are defined as a standard grid line. Virtual reference grid points are provided at predetermined intervals on the reference grid line. Reference grid point dots are placed on respective virtual reference grid points. Straight lines that connect the virtual reference grid points to each other and are parallel to the reference grid lines are defined as grid lines. A point of intersection of grid lines is defined as a virtual grid point. A dot pattern is generated by arranging one or a plurality of information dots, each of which has a distance and a direction around the virtual grid point.
Abstract:
A quadrangular or rectangular area on a medium surface of a printed material is defined as a block. A virtual straight line in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction each along an edge of the block are defined as reference grid lines. Virtual grid points are virtually provided at a predetermined interval on the reference grid lines. A reference grid point dot is placed on a virtual grid point lined in a horizontal direction among the virtual grid points. Virtual straight lines connecting the reference grid point dots and the virtual grid points lined in a vertical direction are defined as grid lines. A virtual intersection point of the grid lines is defined as a virtual grid point. A dot pattern is generated by arranging one or more information dots having a distance and direction on the base of the virtual grid point.

Abstract:
Problems of dot pattern technology include latitude/longitude information not being able to be acquired from a curvilinear solid. To read coordinate and/or code information from the vicinity of a line segment to acquire information associated with the line segment, it is necessary to define manually an area including the line segment to form the dot-pattern associated with the information in the area In the case where line segments are adjacent, a sufficient area cannot be secured and information cannot be defined accurately for the line segment. Stream dot-patterns which are formed based on a prescribed rule, and which have few moires that are streaky periodic patterns are connected and formed in a belt-like shape. It becomes possible to create an information inputting medium that accurately defines the latitude/longitude and coordinate information on various line segments on the curvilinear solid, the map, the drawing, or the like.
