Abstract:
The present invention has as its object to detect the termination of ink reliably and highly accurately in an ink jet recording apparatus. An ink cartridge 2 has an opening 5 for connection to a recording head 1, and is comprised of a negative pressure generating member containing portion 14 containing a negative pressure generating member 13 and having an atmosphere communicating port 10, and an ink containing portion 16 which is adjacent to the negative pressure generating member containing portion 14 and communicates therewith at the bottom 11 of the ink cartridge. Ink detecting means 3 is provided below the ink containing portion 16. When the detecting means 3 detects a reduction in the remain in the ink containing portion 16, ink remains only in the negative pressure generating member containing portion 14 and the remainder can be substantially estimated. For the remaining ink, the amount of use is calculated by the counting of discharge pulses or the like and is compared, whereby the remain of the ink can be detected accurately and easily.
Abstract:
A replaceable ink tank for an ink cartridge used in a bubble jet printer comprises a container formed by two side walls providing major surfaces of the container, and back, front, top and bottom walls. At least one ink supply port is provided in the bottom wall of container and is disposed for supplying ink from at least one ink chamber in the container to a corresponding ink tapping pipe in the ink cartridge. The container is configured for insertion into an opening in the top and front of the ink cartridge with the bottom wall of the container facing downward and a back wall facing a back wall of the ink cartridge, the container being constructed for engaging a camming shoe located at the back inside of a top wall of the cartridge and securing the container in place in the ink cartridge with the ink supply port connecting with the corresponding ink tapping pipe.
Abstract:
A system for automatically swinging a steering wheel to a withdrawn position to make it easy for the driver to get on and off a vehicle is made more reliable by employing a park position sensor such as a detent switch for producing a park signal only when a shift lever of an automatic transmission is in a park position. A control unit produces an automatic withdraw command signal to drive a motor to withdraw the steering wheel in response to a driver's operation such as an operation to open a driver's door or an operation to turn an ignition key to a lock position. The control unit produces the automatic withdraw command signal only when the shift lever is in the park position.
Abstract:
An aiming level device for a motor vehicle headlamp which has a short longitudinal length, requires a small number of components, and is simple to assemble. The inventive aiming level device includes a body member or base, a bubble vial supporting frame pivotable with respect to the body member, and a zero-point adjusting screw for holding a sideward extending part of the supporting frame. The bubble vial supporting frame, which is formed by cutting and bending a single thin metal plate, holds the bubble vial with parts continuously formed at a side region of the front-rear extending region of the frame to support the bubble vial at front and rear portions thereof, and the front and rear end portions of the front-rear extending region are held by the zero-point adjusting screw so that it is adjustable upward and downward by rotating the screw.
Abstract:
A light quantity adjusting device adjusts the quantity of light by moving a light quantity adjusting member by means of an electromagnetic driving part. The device includes a circuit arranged to drive the electromagnetic driving part by producing a pulse output at a period which is shorter than the time constant of the electromagnetic driving part.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle headlamp which employs a discharge lamp as its light source, and which is combined with a clearance lamp. The clearance lamp is provided in the front end portion of a space defined by a lamp body in such a manner that the clearance lamp is adjacent to the reflector, and a ballast circuit for energizing the discharge lamp is provided behind the clearance lamp inside the lamp body.
Abstract:
An electronic control camera in which, when an electronic flash is used with the camera, the required exposure data is automatically set. In the electronic control camera to which the invention pertains, film sensitivity data and luminance data provided by a photometric unit are applied to a data processing unit, which utilizes those tow data values to control the shutter speed and/or the aperture value. Further, the data processing unit varies the shutter speed, the aperture value and/or the amount of light emitted by the electronic flash coupled to the camera in accordance with these two data values.
Abstract:
The synchronous data receiver circuit, after temporarily storing received data in a data memory having a large enough capacity to store at least two frames, detects a frame synchronization signal pattern with a pattern match circuit, then stores the message data alone of the received data in a data buffer, detects errors with a decoder and checks whether the detected frame synchronization signal pattern is the correct pattern of the frame synchronization signal or a wrong frame synchronization signal pattern contained in the message data. If it is the correct frame synchronization signal, the message data is sent to a data processing unit at the next stage or, if it is a wrong frame synchronization signal pattern, the frame synchronization signal pattern is checked again from the next data on.
Abstract:
A projector includes a housing, a light source disposed in the housing, a light projection unit, disposed in the housing, to project light emitted from the light source, a detector to detect a load caused by an object blocking the light projection unit, and a microprocessor to activate a protection operation for the projector when the detector detects that the load caused by the object blocking the light projection unit exceeds a threshold load.
Abstract:
An air intake device includes a cooler and a surge tank accommodating the cooler. The air intake device is to be connected to a cylinder head of an engine. The cylinder head includes an intake port that accommodates an intake valve. The cooler has a refrigerant passage through which refrigerant flows and an air passage through which intake air flows. The surge tank has a connector connected to the cylinder head. The cooler has a protrusion protruding from the connector toward the intake valve.
