Abstract: A first access point (AP) of an AP multi-link device (MLD) is associated with a first communication link, and one or more secondary APs of the AP MLD are associated with one or more respective secondary communication links of the AP MLD. The first AP of the AP MLD generates a frame including a first change sequence field and one or more secondary change sequence fields. The first change sequence field indicates a presence or absence of a critical update associated with the first communication link, and each of the one or more secondary change sequence fields indicates a presence or absence of a critical update associated with a corresponding secondary communication link of the AP MLD. The first AP of the AP MLD transmits the frame over the first communication link of the AP MLD to a station (STA) of a STA MLD.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for signaling mechanisms for low latency and low complexity relay designs. Some aspects more specifically relate to an end-to-end (E2E) relay framework according to which a satellite access point (AP) may relay one or more protocol data units (PDUs) and a block acknowledgment (BA) associated with the one or more PDUs between a client device and a root AP within a single transmission opportunity (TXOP). In some implementations, the satellite AP may refrain from performing operations associated with reordering and retransmitting as part of the relay. In some other implementations, the satellite AP may perform some amount of retransmissions in accordance with a time duration of the TXOP. The root AP, the satellite AP, and the client device may support an end-to-end encryption of both the set of PDUs and the BA associated with the set of PDUs.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for techniques for coordinated medium access for ultra-high reliability. Some aspects more specifically relate to access point (AP)-to-AP coordination via, for example, one or more management frames. In some implementations, a wireless communication device may coordinate timing information with one or more other APs and may inform a set of stations (STAs) of the coordinated timing information, where a configured set of identifiers (IDs) may be used to differentiate which timing information pertains to which AP and inform how the set of STAs are expected to parse the coordinated timing information. Additionally, or alternatively, wireless communication devices may exchange one or more public action frames to facilitate AP-to-AP coordination, where such one or more public action frames may be specifically associated with providing information pertaining to coordinated medium access. Further, the described techniques may be applicable to multi-hop relay topologies.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for reliable delivery of enhanced broadcast services (EBCS) downlink (DL) packets to wireless stations (STAs) that support EBCS (also referred to as “EBCS STAs”) and maintaining interoperability with STAs that do not support EBCS. A wireless communication device may broadcast one or more EBCS DL packets carrying data associated with an EBCS service. In some aspects, the wireless communication device may subsequently transmit a trigger frame soliciting information indicating which, if any, of the EBCS DL packets were missed by EBCS STAs in the vicinity. In some other aspects, each EBCS DL packet may carry signaling indicating that the broadcast data is intended only for EBCS STAs. Still further, in some aspects, the wireless communication device may broadcast an EBCS traffic advertisement indicating a timing of the one or more EBCS DL packets.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for enhanced bandwidth negotiation. Some implementations more specifically relate to request-to-transmit (RTS) and clear-to-send (CTS) frame designs that support bandwidth negotiations over a range of bandwidths achievable in accordance with the IEEE 802.11be amendment, and future generations, of the IEEE 802.11 standard. In some implementations, a bandwidth negotiation frame (such as a CTS or RTS frame) may be configurable to support bandwidths greater than 160 MHz. In some aspects, the bandwidth negotiation frame may conform to a legacy control frame format. More specifically, one or more bits of a service field associated with the legacy control frame format may be repurposed to carry enhanced bandwidth information. In some aspects, a recipient of a bandwidth negotiation frame may interpret one or more bits of the service field to carry enhanced bandwidth information when the frame is transmitted by a non-legacy transmitting device.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for protecting latency-sensitive communications among multi-link devices (MLDs). An access point (AP) MLD may establish multiple communication links with a non-AP MLD and schedule a restricted target wake time (r-TWT) service period (SP) on one of the links (the “r-TWT link”). In some aspects, when a transmit opportunity (TXOP) acquired on a non-r-TWT link overlaps the r-TWT SP, the TXOP may be extended to support an exchange of latency-sensitive traffic on the non-r-TWT link. In some other aspects, any TXOPs occurring on non-r-TWT links may be terminated prior to the start of the r-TWT SP so that latency-sensitive traffic can be exchanged on the r-TWT link during the SP. An AP MLD also may schedule SPs on multiple communication links. In some aspects, the AP MLD may transfer a TWT agreement between the communication links.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, or apparatuses that support a 20 MHz station (STA) parked on a secondary channel. Without the described techniques, mechanisms to support secondary channel operation may be unable to receive management frames or broadcast traffic from an access point (AP), which may cause the STA to lose synchronization with the AP, miss a channel change or other critical announcement from the AP, etc. Considerations for providing such information to STAs parked on a secondary channel are discussed. In some examples, an AP may restrict resource unit allocation to the secondary channel on which the STA is parked. In some cases, a trigger-based random access mechanism may utilize aspects of the present disclosure to limit access to certain resource units to STAs on a given secondary channel.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communications. A wireless device may advertise communication parameters for a particular frequency band over another frequency band. In one example, a wireless device generates multi-band wrapper information element or a neighbor report information element, which may include one or more subelements, each conveying communication information for a particular frequency band. The wireless device may include the multi-band wrapper information element or the neighbor report information element in a management frame and may transmit the management frame over a first frequency band. Another wireless device may receive the management frame over the first frequency band and may obtain the communication information for other frequency bands from the included multi-band wrapper information element. In some cases, a subelement carries communication information that is sufficient for the receiving device to directly associate with the transmitting device over the other frequency bands.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device (e.g., station (STA), access point (AP)) may transmit to a second wireless device during a service period, an initiating frame using a transmit beam that is based on a first beam training procedure performed between the devices prior to the service period. The first wireless device may perform a second beam training procedure during the service period based on an absence of a response frame from the second wireless device, based on an indication within the response frame received from the second wireless device, or based on identification of a change in a wireless channel relative to a previous beam training interval or previous service period. The first wireless device may then communicate one or more messages with the second wireless device using one or more beams that are based on the second beam training procedure.
