    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multi-universal subscriber identification module (USIM) and dual connectivity operation. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes establishing a first access link, associated with a first subscriber identification module (SIM) of the UE, for communicating with a first base station; establishing a second access link, associated with the first SIM of the UE, for communicating with a second base station; establishing a third access link associated with a second SIM of the UE; identifying at least one time division multiplexing (TDM) pattern indicating a set of time periods during which to use the third access link; and tuning to the third access link for communicating using the second SIM during at least one time period of the set of time periods indicated in the TDM pattern.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for radio frequency (RF) exposure limit compliance using uplink duty cycling. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a buffer status report (BSR) that indicates an amount of data that is to be transmitted by the UE, where lower priority data reported in the BSR may be throttled in order to reduce an amount of uplink resources associated with the lower priority data and thereby adjust an uplink duty cycle of the UE. The reduced uplink duty cycle may provide for additional transmit power that is available for higher priority data transmissions.

    Abstract: Various embodiments include methods and user equipment (UE) for mobile-terminated call handling when a latency-sensitive service (LSS) is active on the UE. Embodiments may include determining a radio access technology (RAT) used for a latency-sensitive service (LSS) currently active on the UE in response to receiving an MT call invitation and determining whether a latency-prone service command is received that includes service commands configured to change the determined RAT used for the LSS to another RAT likely to compromise the LSS. In response to determining that a latency-prone service command is received the MT call invitation may be rejected, but in response to determining that a latency-prone service command is not received, MT call alerting may be allowed.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) are described. The UE may identify a first set of bands associated with a first subscription and a second set of bands associated with a second subscription. The UE may determine that at least a first band from the first set of bands and at least a second band from the second set of bands share a same set of radio frequency (RF) front-end resources. The UE may then refrain from communicating on a third band from the first set of bands while communicating on a remaining set of bands, where the third band may be associated with a secondary component carrier (SCC) of a multi-carrier communications scheme. Refraining from communicating on the third band may be based on the first and second bands sharing the RF front-end resources and the third band being associated with the SCC.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to modifying a buffer status report (BSR) are provided. In one embodiment, a first wireless communication device determines a BSR based on at least a first data size and a predicted data size. The first wireless communication device transmits to a second wireless communication device, the BSR. The first wireless communication device receives from the second wireless communication device, a scheduling grant in response to the BSR. The first wireless communication device transmits to the second wireless communication device, a communication signal based on the scheduling grant.
