Abstract: A device may use sidelink request and sidelink response (e.g., DSS/STS and DRS) resources (in a sub-band) of different sizes depending on whether the sub-band is a primary sub-band or secondary sub-band. The device may transmit more information in the request/response resources of a primary sub-band than in the request/response resources of a secondary sub-band. The device may transmit small amounts of information in its request/response resources in secondary sub-bands. The resources in the secondary sub-bands may include, for example, reference signals, and signals indicating occupation of the sub-band. The device may utilize tone signaling for request/response signaling in the secondary sub-bands (at least because the amount of information being conveyed in the secondary sub-bands is small) and digital signaling in the primary sub-band (at least because the amount of information being conveyed in the primary sub-band is large in comparison to that being conveyed in the secondary sub-bands).

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may determine that a synchronous transmission by the UE includes traffic having a priority higher than a priority of nominal traffic. In response to the determination, the UE may, alter a use of at least some of an initial portion of a discovery frame from energy detection to signal transmission. The signal transmission may be a pilot signal transmission or a non-information-carrying signal transmission. The traffic having the priority higher than the nominal traffic may include mission-critical traffic. A reliability requirement of mission-critical traffic may be higher than a reliability requirement of nominal traffic. A latency requirement of mission-critical traffic may be lower than a latency requirement of nominal traffic. The signal transmission may be at a power level that is sufficient to result in energy detection at another UE. Various additional and alternative aspects are described herein.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for accelerated ray tracing. For instance, a process can include obtaining a hierarchical acceleration data structure that includes a plurality of primitives of a scene object and obtaining a respective information value associated with each primitive included in the plurality of primitives. A sort order can be determined for two or more nodes included in a same level of the hierarchical acceleration data structure at least in part by sorting the two or more nodes based on a respective sorting parameter value determined for each respective node of the two or more nodes. Each respective sorting parameter value can be determined based on at least one information value associated with one or more primitives included in a sub-tree of each respective node of the two or more nodes. The hierarchical acceleration data structure can be traversed using the sort order.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first network entity may receive, from a second network entity, an indication of a first frequency offset associated with the second network entity. In some aspects, the first network entity may receive, from the second network entity, a first transmission including a first communication and a first helper signal that are separated in a frequency domain based on the first frequency offset. In some aspects, the first network entity may decode, via envelope tracking, the first transmission to obtain the first communication from the first transmission. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that may help enhance power control for sidelink transmissions. According to certain aspects, a method for wireless communications by a first user equipment (UE) generally includes transmitting a power headroom report (PHR) to a second UE, receiving, from the second UE, a transmit power control (TPC) based on the PHR, and transmitting at least a first sidelink transmission to the second UE with transmit power in accordance with the TPC.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support the transmission of a scheduling request via a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH). In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may determine a configuration of a set of PSFCH resource blocks (RBs). The UE may receive a first bit map that may indicate a subset of the set of PSFCH RBs allocated for transmitting a scheduling request on the PSFCH, and the UE may receive a second bit map that may indicate a second subset of the PSFCH RBs allocated for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) messages. The UE may transmit a scheduling request via one or more RBs of the first subset of the PSFCH RBs. In some cases, the UE may generate a waveform for transmitting the scheduling request message, and the waveform may be based on the number of RBs selected.
