Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for discriminating high rate polymorphic QRS complexes from high rate monomorphic QRS complexes to increase the specificity of detection of polymorphic VT and VF employing wavelet transform signal processing of the QRS complexes are disclosed. Wavelet transforms are applied to the sampled amplitude values of a sequence of QRS complexes to develop wavelet transform coefficient (WTC) data sets. At least selected ones of the WTC data sets are processed and comparisons are made to determine a wavelet match score. A determination is made as a function of the wavelet match scores of the series of successive QRS complexes that characterizes the most recent QRS complex as more or less likely to signify polymorphic VT or VF.
Abstract:
Techniques are provided to automatically edit multimedia associated with call center sessions when producing monitoring and/or recording copies of the multimedia. Multimedia associated with a session between a caller and a call center agent is received. The multimedia from the session is analyzed to determine when sensitive information is to be revealed. The multimedia is edited to mask the sensitive information in a monitored and/or recorded copy of the multimedia.
Abstract:
An implantable medical device (IMD) senses physiological episodes and stores data associated with the physiological episodes in the IMD. The data is then processed based on a pattern of recurrence of the physiological episodes.
Abstract:
A system includes the ability to establish a communication session between stations using protocol capabilities of an external transcoder. The stations may establish a communication session by exchanging protocol capabilities which include a protocol capability of at least one remotely located transcoder. The communication session may then be established using appropriate signalling protocol, including peer-to-peer signalling protocols.
Abstract:
Heart failure decompensation is detected by sensing at least one physiological signal. Values of at least two different heart failure variables are derived using one or more physiological signals and a threshold for the first heart failure variable is adjusted in response to the value of the second heart failure variable. The value of the first heart failure variable is compared to first threshold for detecting a heart failure condition.
Abstract:
A method for caller association includes receiving from a user a first request for a number that may be called to reach the user and generating a first number that may be called to reach the user. The method includes communicating the first number to the user and receiving from the user a first identifier associated with the first number. The first identifier comprises an identifier of a first party. The method includes receiving a first call for the user at the first number and communicating the first call and the first identifier to the user. The method may include storing the first identifier associated with the first number in a memory and retrieving the first identifier associated with the first number from the memory upon receipt of the first call for the user at the first number.
Abstract:
A method of communicating information between a first program and a second program over a network is described. The method includes relaying the information between the first program and a first communications program over a first network connection, relaying the information between the first communications program and a second communications program over a second network connection and relaying the information between the second communications program and the second program over a third network connection. Further, the first communications program creates the second network connection to the second communications program through a first firewall program, which prevents access to the first program initiated by the second program. Thus, the second network connection is initiated by the first communications program. The first communications program can be, for example, a protocol daemon and the second communications program can be, for example, a relay program. The first firewall program can also be configured to prevent access to the first program initiated by the second communications program.
Abstract:
A method for executing a video conference is provided that includes receiving one or more audio streams associated with a video conference from one or more end points and determining an active speaker associated with one of the end points. Audio information associated with the active speaker may be received at one or more media switches. One or more video streams may be suppressed except for a selected video stream associated with the active speaker, the selected video stream propagating to one or more of the media switches during the video conference. The selected video stream may be replicated such that it may be communicated to one or more of the end points associated with a selected one of the media switches.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method includes dropping an initial series of video frames received by a video conferencing system from a first endpoint that has entered a video conference session as a first participant. One or more fast video update (FVU) messages received by the video conferencing system from the first endpoint during an enabling time period are then discarded. A single FVU message is then to the first endpoint after the video conferencing system has become enabled with respect to the first endpoint. An I-frame received from the first endpoint in response to the single FVU message is then sent back to the first endpoint. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.
Abstract:
A conference adapter. In an illustrative embodiment, the conference adapter implements a method for interfacing one or more conference endpoints with one or more conference servers. The method includes registering an endpoint and a conference server to determine endpoint registration information associated with the endpoint and to determine conference-server registration information associated with the conference server. Next, the method includes receiving a connection from the endpoint and a connection from the conference server. Subsequently, the conference adapter establishes communications between the endpoint and the conference server as initiated by the endpoint and based on the endpoint registration information and the conference-server registration information. In a more specific embodiment, the method further includes receiving plural connections from conference servers of disparate types, and then selectively switching communications between the endpoint and a first conference server to communications between the endpoint and a second conference server. The method further includes selectively switching endpoints for a given conference session.
