    Abstract: The present disclosure is generally related to wireless data transmission. An example method for transmitting a data file from a base station to multiple Internet of Things (IoT) devices includes obtaining information on connections between the base station and IoT devices as well as device-to-device connections. The method also includes generating schemes for splitting the data file and transmitting each data portion accordingly. The method optionally includes obtaining updates on connection information and adjusting the data splitting schemes based thereon.

    Abstract: A facility for establishing a wireless connection between first and second devices is described. On the first device, the facility causes a one-time pairing code to be displayed, then wirelessly receives from the second device a wireless connection solicitation having contents. On the first device, in response to the receiving, the facility determines whether the contents reflect the one-time pairing code. In response to determining that the contents reflect the one-time pairing code, on the first device, the facility establishes the wireless connection between the first and second devices.

    Abstract: Novel techniques are described for location-tracked media delivery. For example, a particular consumer premises has multiple media consumption devices, each located in a different room of the premises. One or more media streams being consumed via one or more of the media consumption devices can be tracked. As one or more consumers move through the premises, their respective physical locations in the premises can also be tracked with respect to media consumption regions of the media consumption devices. By detecting movement of the consumers with respect to the consumed streams and the media consumption devices, embodiments can automatically provide various features. For example, streams can automatically be transferred or cloned among the media consumption devices, and/or streams and devices can be adapted automatically to facilitate some continued media consumption in some dead space regions.

    Abstract: Novel techniques are described for coexistence of multiple radio technologies in a shared frequency band. Techniques described herein enable multiple radiofrequency networks using different radio technologies to coexist on a same carrier frequency by exploiting various frequency- and/or time-domain sharing of scheduled resources. For example, data signals are received for transmission over different radio networks according to different radio technologies (having different respective sub-carrier definitions and timeslot definitions). A coexistence resource schedule is computed from the communication resource grids define an allocation of sub-carrier and/or timeslot resources among the radio technologies. Radio technologies can then be generated from the data signals in accordance with the coexistence resource schedule and the communication resource grids. The radio signals can then be transmitted over the radio networks, with the multiple radio technologies coexisting in orthogonal components of a communication channel.

    Abstract: A system for facilitating configuration of an audio system tests the existing audio system configuration by playing reference audio clips of various different genres of programming, the audio of which is received by a microphone of a remote control device or other handheld mobile device at various different listening points in the room. The system then compares the audio signal representing audio of the reference audio clip received at the microphone to a reference audio signal representing the reference audio clip and determines other audio characteristics. The system then determines, based on the comparison and other characteristics of the room (e.g., furniture layout, room construction materials, wall treatments and current speaker positioning) suggested changes to a configuration of the audio system to increase audio quality of the audio system for playing audio associated with the various different genres of programming.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for multi-source recording of content. Program data associated with a plurality of programs may be received. Program data may comprise a channel, a series of shows, a group of movies, a broadcast media item, and/or an Internet streaming media item. Each program may be associated with at least one channel and transmission source. The transmission source may comprise an Internet-streaming service, a digital video recorder, and/or an on-demand library, among other transmission sources. Data corresponding to a first program from a first channel and a first transmission source may be recorded. Data corresponding to a second program from the first channel and a second transmission source may also be recorded. The first program and second program may then be displayed within a channel-specific view of a program guide that obscures or removes identification of the first and second transmission sources. In other embodiments, the recording of the program data from the first and/or second program may be initiated by at least one machine-learning system that records program data based on a user's past viewing history. The multi-source recording system may be configured to record entire channels and avoid recording duplicates.
