    Abstract: Various defects in an electronic assembly can be intelligently identified with a system having at least a server connected to a first capture module and a second capture module. The first capture module may be positioned proximal a first manufacturing line while the second capture module is positioned proximal a second manufacturing line. Images can be collected of first and second electronic assemblies by respective first and second capture modules prior to the images being sent to a classification module of the server where at least one defect is automatically detected in each of the first and second electronic assemblies concurrently with the classification module.

    Abstract: A data storage device can consist of a data storage medium that has a recording surface accessed by a first transducing head suspended by a first actuator and a second transducing head suspended by a second actuator. The first actuator may be configured to access a first region of the recording surface while the second actuator is configured to access a second region of the recording surface.     Abstract: A waveguide includes a segment with a substantially uniform cure profile and related methods and systems for making and using the same. The waveguide is formed by modifying a laser beam used to write the waveguide to provide a substantially uniform cure profile in the waveguide. A marker characteristic of laser writing may be present in the waveguide. A method or system modifies an intensity profile or a shape profile of a laser beam to proactively compensate for exposure convolution based on the characteristics of the laser beam spot profile. A convolution compensator is positioned in the path of the laser beam to modify the beam spot profile during writing to form the one or more segments of the waveguide in a photo-curable layer.
