Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for handling sensing for a sidelink source in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, a User Equipment (UE) receives a control signaling which schedules a resource of a first transmission, in which the control signaling informs and/or indicates that the scheduled resource is not kept for a next transmission. The UE performs energy sensing for candidate resources, in which one or more resources associated with the scheduled resource of the first transmission is not utilized for energy sensing.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE). In one embodiment, the method includes the UE performing a first device-to-device (D2D) transmission based on a periodic resource. The method further includes the UE performs a second D2D transmission based on the periodic resource in response to no data available for the second D2D transmission, wherein the second D2D transmission indicates release of the periodic resource. The method also includes the UE stops using the periodic resource to perform a third D2D transmission.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed, from the perspective of the UE, for performing random access procedure. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE receives a first back-off information from the network in a broadcast message, wherein the first back-off information includes a start offset of back-off interval. The method further includes the UE transmits a first preamble to the network. In addition, the method includes the UE determines a back-off interval based on the first back-off information and a second back-off information, wherein the second back-off information is received when the UE monitors a response for the first preamble. The method also includes the UE transmits a second preamble to the network after the back-off interval is finished.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE. In one embodiment, the method includes monitoring a control channel for detection of an UL grant. The method further includes receiving the UL grant associated with a HARQ process on the control channel at a first timing. The method also includes sending an UL data associated with the UL grant on a data channel at a second timing. In additional, the method also includes starting a retransmission timer associated with the HARQ process after detection of the UL grant at a third timing. Furthermore, the method includes receiving a signaling indicating stop the retransmission timer at a fourth timing. In addition, the method includes stopping the retransmission timer and stopping monitoring the control channel, wherein the UE monitors the control channel when the retransmission timer is running.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for latency reduction of device-to-device message in a wireless communication system. Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for implementing reference signal transmissions in a wireless communication system. According to one method, the UE receives a downlink transmission burst from a base station in a first unlicensed channel. The UE also receives an information in a second channel, wherein the information defines whether a subframe is an end subframe of the downlink transmission burst in the first unlicensed channel. The UE determines whether or not to receive a control message, data, or a reference signal from a next frame in the first unlicensed channel. The UE receives the control message, data, or the reference signal from the next frame in the first unlicensed channel if the information indicates that the subframe is not the end subframe of the downlink transmission burst. Alternatively, the UE refuses to receive the control message, data, or the reference signal from the next frame in the first unlicensed channel if the information indicates that the subframe is the end subframe of the downlink transmission burst.
