    Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing uplink and downlink communication in cell edge scenarios with improved reliability. A wireless device may establish a radio resource control connection with a first cell. The wireless device may determine that a second cell strongly interferes with communication with the first cell. The wireless device may provide an indication that the second cell is a strongly interfering cell to the first cell. The first cell may coordinate with the second cell to transmit data to the wireless device, and to receive data from the wireless device, based at least in part on the indication that the second cell is a strongly interfering cell.

    Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing timing synchronization between a base station and a user equipment device within an unlicensed spectrum band. In some scenarios, beamforming tracking may also be performed. Upon determining that a transmission medium within the unlicensed spectrum band is available for transmission, a base station may transmit a plurality of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs), or a plurality of copies of one SSB, with associated remaining minimum system information (RMSI) blocks, within a single time instance within a SSB burst window. The SSBs may be transmitted at different frequency positions and according to distinct beamforming configurations. The SSBs and RMSI blocks may be configured such that a receiving user equipment device may determine the time-domain, and optionally the frequency-domain, position of the SSB and RMSI within the SSB burst window, to allow timing synchronization and optionally beamforming tracking.

    Abstract: A method performed by a user equipment that includes receiving a redundancy version (RV) of control information during a transmission time interval (TTI) from a network to which the user equipment has established a connection, wherein the control information comprises a plurality of RVs, determining a first value corresponding to the TTI, determining a second value based on a connectivity parameter measurement of the connection and determining whether to perform a decode operation on the RV based on a comparison of the first value and the second value.
