摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for using integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes configured to provide multi-access edge computing (MEC) functionality. An IAB node may include a MEC functionality that includes an instance of an application configured for MEC. A UE using the application connects to the network through an access link with the IAB node and establishes a PDU session for traffic of the application with a core network (CN). The CN may determine that the traffic corresponds to the application, and that an instance of the application is present on the IAB node. Accordingly, the CN may instruct the IAB donor to instantiate a remote packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer and, in some cases, a remote service data application (SDAP) layer that are configured to route the traffic from the UE for the application to the instance of the application on the IAB node.

摘要: Methods and systems are disclosed to configure different paging occasions for enhanced UEs that support, and for legacy UEs that do not support, the enhanced feature of the paging early indication (PEI) in paging procedure for 5G/LTE networks. Different paging occasions for the enhanced and legacy UEs may be configured by providing separate paging occasion parameters for the enhanced and legacy UEs. The network may use the separate paging parameters to design the PEI to save signaling overhead. The network may reuse paging format for the paging PDCCH to serve as the PEI that is transmitted in advance of the paging occasions for the enhanced UEs, or may keep legacy paging PDCCH at its current locations to serve as the PEI for the enhanced UEs. A scheduling offset may be configured to separate in time the paging PDCCH serving as the PEI and the paging PDSCH containing the paging message.

摘要: Coordinated leaving for a UE having a first SIM and a second SIM may include decoding, at a baseband processor, an RRC reconfiguration message associated with the first SIM received from a first network. A communication corresponding to the second SIM received from a second network is decoded while the baseband processor is processing the received RRC reconfiguration message. The communication received from the second network is determined to comprise a higher priority than the RRC reconfiguration procedure. Based on determining, a UAI message corresponding to the first SIM is encoded by the baseband processor for transmission to the first network. The UAI message is configured to inform the first network of coordinated leaving and abortion of the RRC reconfiguration procedure. The first SIM is transitioned to an idle mode. An RRC request corresponding to the second SIM is encoded by the baseband processor for transmission to the second network.

摘要: This disclosure relates to performing implicit radio resource control state transitions in a cellular communication system. A wireless device may establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with a cellular base station. A data inactivity timer length and a target RRC state for implicit RRC transitions may be determined. A data inactivity timer having the determined data inactivity timer length may be initiated. It may be determined that the data inactivity timer has expired. The wireless device may transition to the target RRC state based at least in part on determining that the data inactivity timer has expired.

The duplicate packets may be transmitted over the multiple wireless links to the receiver, which may receive the duplicate packets over the multiple wireless links. The receiver may collect and/or generate synchronization information indicative of the timing or latency between the multiple wireless links, based at least on the respective receive timings of the duplicate packets over the multiple wireless links. The receiver may transmit a report containing the synchronization information to the transmitter periodically and/or in response to a trigger event.
