    Abstract: A method for wireless communication includes: requesting transmission, by a wireless device, of uplink (UL) transmissions to a wireless station; receiving, by the wireless device, a UL cancellation indication (CI) to be applied to a determined reference region; determining, by the wireless device, a set of UL resources for cancellation based on the UL CI received from the wireless station (e.g., by determining an indication of particular interlaces and/or particular Physical Resource Blocks within such interlaces that are to be canceled), wherein at least a subset of the UL resources for cancellation are interlaced; and canceling, by the wireless device, UL transmissions over at least the determined set of UL resources for cancellation (i.e., additional UL transmissions may be cancelled, too). The wireless device may then perform UL transmissions that do not overlap with the determined set of UL resources for cancellation in any UL CI to the wireless station.

    Abstract: Systems and method for using control information to control the relay of signaling between a base station and a user equipment (UE) using a smart repeater (SMR) and/or reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) are disclosed herein. In embodiments, a first phase is used by the SMR with a first SS burst from a base station to identify a trained Rx beam to use with the base station, and a second phase receives a second SS burst from the base station and forwards it to a UE using a beam sweep such that the UE is enabled to provide feedback of one SSB of the second SS burst. In other embodiments, an SMR or an RIS is controlled to enable the use of an SS burst to perform a full check of all beam-wise routes between the base station and the UE, enabling feedback of a corresponding SSB selection by the UE.

    Abstract: Configuring channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) reporting at a network may include encoding a single CSI-RS reporting configuration for transmission to a user equipment (UE) that is in connected mode with both a first transmission and reception point (TRP) and a second TRP.     Abstract: Layer 2 handling during a cell change procedure includes decoding an RRC reconfiguration message received from a first cell. The RRC reconfiguration message includes a Layer 1 (L1) configuration corresponding to a second cell. The first cell and the second cell share an SDAP entity, a PDCP entity, an RLC entity, and a MAC entity. The first cell and the second cell have a separate L1 entity. In response to decoding the RRC reconfiguration message, the L1 configuration corresponding to the second cell is stored. A cell change message received from the first cell is decoded. The cell change message indicates that a cell change from the first cell to the second cell is to be performed. The stored L1 configuration corresponding to the second cell is applied for data transmission and reception associated with the second cell. A cell change to the second cell is initiated.
