摘要: Certain substituted cycloalkenochromones and pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof are disclosed as being useful in the treatment of allergies. The compounds have the structure: ##STR1## X is --O--, --S--, or --SO.sub.2. Y is from 1 to 4. R.sub.1 is H or alkyl, and R.sub.2 is H, alkyl, aryl, carboxyl, alkoxy, aralkoxy, or alkoxycarbonyl. When R.sub.1 is alkyl, R.sub.2 is hydrogen, alkyl or aryl. At least one of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is alkoxycarbonyl, carboxyl or tetrazolyl. R.sub.3 is carboxyl, alkylthio, alkylsulfonyl, alkylsulfinyl, alkoxycarbonyl, or tetrazolyl.

摘要: A retrieval device may include a first plate and a second plate which may be movably coupled to a body via a first body fastener and a second body fastener, respectively. An upper plate connector and a lower plate connector may each be movably coupled to the first plate and a second plate with the lower plate connector positioned between the upper plate connector and the body fasteners. An optional tensioner may tension portions of the first plate and a second plate together. Upper gripper(s) may be coupled to the upper plate connector and lower gripper(s) may be coupled to the lower plate connector. The device may be movable between an open position, in which the upper gripper(s) and lower gripper(s) are positioned relatively distally from each other, and a closed position, in which the upper gripper(s) and lower gripper(s) are positioned relatively proximate to each other.

摘要: A composite board with a multilayer laminated facer is presented having a nonwoven, a first polymer layer, and a second polymer layer. The laminate may be printed on the nonwoven, on the upper surface of the first polymer layer or inverted printed on the backside of an applied film. A number of configurations for the polymer layers are disclosed. The laminate may include exposed fibers on the lower surface or the nonwoven may be saturated. A removable peel-ply may be included. By controlling the placement and thickness of the polymer layers it is possible to tailor additive in the polymers such as colorants, opacifiers, UV stabilizers, and fire retardants to improve quality and reduce costs. In an alternate embodiment of the present invention, a first polymer layer is applied to the topside of the nonwoven and the second polymer is laminated to the first polymer layer as a preformed film. The laminated facer is thermally or adhesively bonded to the composite board.

摘要: The present invention provides a laminate material having a polyester film and a web of polyester fibers cohesively bonded directly thereto, such that portions of the fibers are bonded to the polyester film and portions of the fibers are free from the polyester film. The invention may also include a glass reinforced polymer layer formed on the laminated facer where the polymer of the glass reinforced polymer layer is commingled with the nonwoven of the laminated facer. The laminate may further include a second polymer layer having a thickness joined to the fiber layer and/or a layer of hot melt adhesive applied to the polyester fibers. Also presented is a composite material having a polyester film, a layer of polyester fibers bonded to the second polymer layer; a second polymer layer joined to the polyester film; and a glass reinforced polymer layer formed on the laminated facer, where the polymer of the glass reinforced polymer layer is commingled with the nonwoven of the laminated facer.

摘要: A self-aligning fairlead latch device is provided for guiding and securing an anchor chain between an offshore structure and an anchor. The fairlead latch device includes a latch housing pivotally mounted to a fairlead housing. The latch housing includes one or more latches for securing the anchor chain in place. The fairlead latch device further includes an upper retainer component that is coupled to an upper support structure and a lower support structure. The coupling of the upper retainer component to the support structures allow the fairlead latch device to be relocated by lifting of the device from the support structures.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a novel trifluoromethylsulfonamide derivative which inhibits the processing of APP by the putative γ-secretase and thus is useful in the treatment or prevention of Alzheimer's disease. This compound possesses favorable pharmacokinetic properties in higher species (rhesus) and thus can be dosed on an intermittent dosing regiment (e.g., once weekly). When dosed on such a regiment the compound exhibits significant and continuous Aβ lowering without the manifestation of Notch associated gastrointestinal toxicity for extended periods, e.g., 7 days. Pharmaceutical compositions and methods of use are also included.

摘要: A device for determining material properties includes a bottom panel extending from a first end to a second end of the device, for supporting a material to be tested. A closed loop flexible wall extends upwardly from the panel and is in operational engagement with a flexible wall idle means towards the first end of the device and a flexible wall driving means in spaced relation with the flexible wall idle means. The flexible wall driving means causes movement of the closed loop flexible wall along a predetermined closed loop path. The flexible wall driving means and the means of driving it are arranged at a position outside of a material containment area of the device.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer programs for generating an interactive space viewable through at least a first and a second device are presented. The method includes an operation for detecting from the first device a location of the second device or vice versa. Further, synchronization information data is exchanged between the first and the second device to identify a reference point in a three-dimensional (3D) space relative to the physical location of the devices in the 3D space. The devices establish the physical location in the 3D space of the other device when setting the reference point. The method further includes an operation for generating views of an interactive scene in the displays of the first and second devices. The interactive scene is tied to the reference point and includes virtual objects. The view in the display shows the interactive scene as observed from the current location of the corresponding device. Moving the device in the 3D space causes the view to change according to the perspective from the current location.
