Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for obtaining channel state information, including: sending, by a base station, one or multiple pieces of downlink signaling to user equipment, where the one or multiple pieces of downlink signaling instruct the user equipment to feed back channel dimension information, where the channel dimension information includes an effective dimension of a channel subspace of a statistical channel between the base station and the user equipment, and the effective dimension of the channel subspace is less than a quantity of reference signal ports used to measure channel state information; and receiving, by the base station, the channel dimension information fed back by the user equipment.

Abstract: This application provides a technical solution for rank indication, and especially when a CQI number is not configured or a CQI number is 1, a network device configures a rank indication restriction parameter as that at least one of ranks whose index numbers are 0, 1, 2, and 3 is allowed to be reported by the terminal device; or even if the network device does not perform the foregoing configuration, and none of the ranks whose index numbers are 0, 1, 2, and 3 is allowed to be reported, the terminal device may select at least one rank for RI reporting, so as to resolve a problem that a system cannot work. In addition, according to embodiments of this application, bit overheads required for RI reporting may further be reduced.

Abstract: Embodiments disclose an antenna information sending method and device, and an antenna information receiving method and device. The method includes: obtaining first antenna information of a terminal device, where the first antenna information includes at least one or more of a maximum number of layers for uplink spatial multiplexing that are supported by the terminal device, an antenna number supported by the terminal device, or whether the terminal device supports smart switch on/off of UE's antenna ports. The method also includes sending the first antenna information to a base station. In this way, the terminal device can control, according to a service requirement of the terminal device, an antenna deployed on the terminal device, and report antenna information of the terminal device to the base station in a timely manner.

Abstract: A communication method and a communication apparatus are provided. The method includes: a first device first checks a first bit sequence based on a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) code, to obtain a second bit sequence; then divides the second bit sequence into P bit sequences; and generates Q codewords based on the P bit sequences, and sends the Q codewords to a second device through P transport layers. P represents a quantity of transport layers of the first device, P is greater than or equal to 2, and Q is an integer greater than or equal to 2. The first device first checks the first bit sequence based on the CRC code, and then divides the second bit sequence into the P bit sequences, that is, performs code rate allocation.
