Each subscriber station independently transmits information to a base station that allows the base station to determine a weight vector wi for each subscriber station using the determined combining vector of the subscriber station. The ith combining vector corresponds to a right singular vector corresponding to a maximum singular value of a channel matrix between a base station and the ith subscriber station. Each subscriber station transmits signals using a weight vector vi, which corresponds to a left singular vector corresponding to a maximum singular value of a channel matrix between the ith subscriber station and the base station. The base station uses the weight vector wi to determine the signal transmitted by the ith subscriber station.

The basic solutions to counter those errors are: proper design of the CSI vector quantizer indexing (i.e., the bit representation of centroid indices) in order to minimize impact of index errors, use of error detection techniques to expurgate the erroneous indices and use of other methods to recover correct indices.

An uplink pilot sequence allocation method in a massive MIMO system is disclosed, the system including the master base station in the master cell and a neighboring base station in a neighboring cell, including: the neighboring base station comparing a primary eigen-space between a user group of the neighboring cell and the neighboring base station, with an interference eigen-space between a user group of the master cell close to the neighboring base station and the neighboring base station, and determining whether the user group of the neighboring cell can reuse uplink pilot sequence resources used by the user group of the master cell. In a manner of increasing information exchange, intercell cooperative uplink pilot sequence allocation is achieved, and uplink pilot contamination in a multi-cell massive MIMO system is reduced effectively.

All data symbols used in data transmission of a modulated signal are precoded by hopping between precoding matrices so that the precoding matrix used to precode each data symbol and the precoding matrices used to precode data symbols that are adjacent to the data symbol in the frequency domain and the time domain all differ. A modulated signal with such data symbols arranged therein is transmitted.

A method for indicating a combination between a codeword and a layer in a MIMO communication, system, a layer mapping method, and a data transmission method using the same are disclosed. A minimum number of codeword-layer mapping combinations from among all available combinations based on the’ numbers of all codewords and all layers are pre-defined in consideration of a ratio of a codeword to a layer, a reception performance of a receiver, and reduction of combinations, so that a data transmission method using the predefined combinations is implemented. If a.specific one codeword is mapped to at least two layers, a diversity gain can be acquired.

The method includes: determining a channel space related matrix of each channel according to first signals received by N antennas of a receiver on each channel of M channels, where the channel space related matrix of each channel is used to indicate space correlation between the N antennas on each channel, wherein N is a positive integer greater than 1, and M is a positive integer; determining a channel fading factor filter matrix according to the channel space related matrices of the M channels, where the channel fading factor filter matrix is an N×N-dimensional matrix; and determining channel estimation of a first channel according to the channel fading factor filter matrix and channel fading factors corresponding to the N antennas when the N antennas receive first signals on the first channel.
