Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, and relates to the field of communication technologies. An AP generates a trigger frame, where the trigger frame includes a first user information field, a part or all of a frequency domain resource indicated by a resource unit allocation subfield in a fourth user information field before the first user information field is located on a primary 160 MHz channel, and a part or all of a frequency domain resource indicated by a resource unit allocation subfield in a fourth user information field after the first user information field is located on a secondary 160 MHz channel. Then, the AP sends the trigger frame.

Abstract: This application provides a communications method and a communications apparatus. A first station in a first multi-link device sends first information to a second multi-link device, where the first information is used to indicate a frequency at which a station in a power saving mode in the first multi-link device receives a beacon frame. In this way, the second multi-link device may learn about, based on the first information, a frequency at which a station in the first multi-link device receives a beacon frame, thereby helping the second multi-link device effectively manage a cache service of each station in the first multi-link device and manage a data buffer space.

Abstract: An AP sends a trigger frame, where the trigger frame is used to trigger a station to send an EHT TB PPDU; and the AP receives the EHT TB PPDU sent by the station. A common information field of the trigger frame includes four UL SRP fields, indicating a sum of transmit power of the AP and maximum interference power accepted by the AP. Values indicated by an SRP1 field and an SRP2 field in a U-SIG of the EHT TB PPDU are respectively determined based on values indicated by the four UL SRP fields.

Abstract: This application is applicable to a multi-link group addressed traffic transmission method and an apparatus. A first access point (AP) of an AP multi-link device (MLD) sends group addressed traffic indication information indicating whether each AP of other APs of the AP MLD has a group addressed traffic, so that a station (STA) can learn whether the multiple APs have a group addressed traffic. In this way, each STA of the STA MLD does not need to listen to each AP whether each AP has a group addressed traffic. This reduces power consumption of the STA MLD. This application may be applied to a wireless local area network system that supports an IEEE 802.11ax next-generation Wi-Fi EHT protocol, for example, 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11be.

Abstract: This application discloses communication methods and apparatuses. In an example method, a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) is generated and sent. The PPDU includes multiple resource unit allocation subfields. The multiple resource unit allocation subfields include a resource unit allocation subfield corresponding to a multiple resource unit (MRU) to indicate that a 242-tone resource unit (RU) corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield belongs to the MRU. A number of resource unit allocation subfields corresponding to the MRU in a resource unit allocation subfield corresponding to each 80 MHz subblock in a bandwidth for transmitting the PPDU is for determining or indicating a type of the MRU. A station can determine, based on the number of resource unit allocation subfields corresponding to the MRU in the resource unit allocation subfield corresponding to each 80 MHz subblock, which type of MRU is included in the bandwidth for transmitting the PPDU.

Abstract: Disclosed are a physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU) transmission method and a related apparatus. The method includes: generating a PPDU, where the PPDU includes a universal signal field (U-SIG), and the U-SIG includes a subfield indicating that the PPDU is a null data packet (NDP); and sending the PPDU. In this way, a beamformee (Bfee) that receives the NDP can identify the NDP earlier. This helps improve efficiency of reading the NDP by the Bfee. The PPDU is an NDP used for a standard after 802.11ax. In a scenario in which wireless communication is performed by using the standard (for example, 802.11be) after 802.11ax, the Bfee can perform channel estimation based on the NDP.

Abstract: A method includes: An access point generates an NDPA frame, where the NDPA frame includes a station information field, and the station information field includes an AID subfield indicating an association identifier AID of a station; the station information field further includes a partial bandwidth information subfield; the partial bandwidth information subfield indicates an RU that is in a bandwidth corresponding to the NDPA frame and for which the station needs to feed back channel state information; and the bandwidth corresponding to the NDPA frame is greater than 160 MHz.
