Abstract: According to one aspect of the present invention, a method for supporting a user equipment (UE) handover of a target (T)-access and mobility management function (AMF) in a wireless communication system may comprise the steps of: receiving a UE context creation request message from a source (S)-AMF, wherein the UE context creation request message includes packet data unit (PDU) session identifiers (ID) as a handover target and single (S)-network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) corresponding to each PDU session ID; determining whether the corresponding S-NSSAI is valid in the T-AMF; and sending, to a session management function (SMF), a PDU session update session management (SM) context request message only for a PDU session ID that corresponds to the S-NSSAI determined to be valid according to the determination result, out of the PDU session IDs.

Abstract: A signal transmission and reception method by a session management function (SMF) in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: the SMF determining whether or not a protocol data unit (PDU) session is to be activated; and the SMF transmitting a message comprising a session management (SM) message to an access and mobility management function (AMF). The PDU session is a PDU session which should be activated by means of a user equipment (UE) which received the SM message. The message comprising the SM message comprises information for activating the PDU session by means of the AMF.

Abstract: One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for supporting redundant protocol data unit (PDU) sessions. The method may be performed by a unified data management (UDM) node and comprise: receiving, from a first session management function (SMF) node, a first message including a first redundancy sequence number (RSN) which is allocated by the first SMF node for managing a first PDU session and an identifier of the first PDU session; transmitting, to a second SMF node for managing a second PDU session, a second message including the first RSN and a PDU session pair ID, which is identical to the identifier of the first PDU session; and receiving, from the second SMF node, a third message including a second RSN which is allocated by the second SMF node and an identifier of the second PDU session. The second PDU session may be duplication of the first PDU session.

Abstract: A method for a user equipment (UE) connecting to a network includes: if second connection is to be executed by means of a second access, determining whether or not first connection has been previously executed by means of a first access; and, if the first connection by means of the first access has been executed and the second connection by means of the second access is determined to be an addition, transmitting a connection request message comprising identification information of a control plane (CP) function node. The identification information of the control plane (CP) function node could have been obtained during the first connection by means of the first access. Both the first connection by means of the first access and the second connection by means of the second access can be managed by means of the control plane (CP) function node.

Abstract: A disclosed feature of the present specification provides a method for a source cell determining a handover of a packet data unit (PDU) session. A handover region list can additionally be considered in the target cell or target NG-RAN determination step. The method may include a step of transmitting a handover request message that does not include context with respect to the PDU session to the target cell or target NG-RAN, based on the handover region list, if it is confirmed that the determined target cell or target NG-RAN cannot serve for the PDU session.
