摘要: An electric discharge machining apparatus for cutting and shaping a workpiece into an article having a desired configuration in which the period of time required until the speed of a table carrying the workpiece becomes constant is made quite short. Comparator means compares a gap voltage between a wire-shaped electrode and a workpiece with a reference voltage to produce an error voltage. In one embodiment, a non-linear amplifier is disposed between the output of the comparator means and the input of an integrator. In the integrator, a clamping diode is coupled across an integrating capacitor so as to prevent the output of the integrator from becoming negative.

摘要: An impact energy absorbing apparatus having two cylinders coupled for telescopic movement under impact axially applied thereto. In addition to rigid balls press-fitted between the cylinders, the apparatus has idle rigid balls snugly fitted therebetween which are to be conducted for rolling movement along respective guide grooves of certain length formed on the cylinder. The characteristic of load-stroke relationship is thereby improved to provide optimum efficiency of impact absorption.

摘要: The presence or absence of degradation and abnormality is determined with high reliability by measuring a resistance value of a glow plug, which is in an operating state, as a latest resistance value. A method then determines whether or not the rate of the change of the latest resistance value with respect to an initial resistance value of the glow plug exceeds a first predetermined value. The method also determines whether or not the rate of the change of the latest resistance value with respect to a last resistance value that is a resistance value of the glow plug, which has been recently measured at the time of the acquisition of the latest resistance value, exceeds a second predetermined value when the rate of change of the latest resistance value with respect to the initial resistance value of the glow plug exceeds the first predetermined value. The method determines that the glow plug is in an abnormal degradation state when the rate of the change of the latest resistance value with respect to the last resistance value exceeds the second predetermined value.

摘要: The accuracy in controlling the heating temperature of a glow plug and the reliability of the control operation are improved. An electronic control unit 101 is configured such that a standard applied voltage for glow plugs 50-1 to 50-n is set according to the engine speed and the load conditions of the engine. In addition, a correction coefficient set in advance according to the temperature classification of the mounted glow plugs 50-1 to 50-n is readably stored in the electronic control unit 101 as a correction coefficient map. By multiplying the standard applied voltage by a correction coefficient K read from the correction coefficient map and applying a voltage of the multiplication result to the glow plugs 50-1 to 50-n as a driving voltage through the power circuit 102 to perform driving control, stable and reliable heating temperature control can be realized regardless of variations in the heating temperature characteristics.
