Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may inform a base station of multiple transmission-antenna switching capabilities supported by the UE. The supported transmission-antenna switching capabilities may include a first transmission-antenna switching capability and a second transmission-antenna switching capability. The UE may receive a message that triggers the UE to switch from using a first configuration associated with the first transmission-antenna switching capability to using a second configuration associated with the second transmission-antenna switching capability. The UE may perform a sounding procedure using the second configuration associated with the second transmission-antenna switching capability based on receiving the message.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for providing improved power efficiency during DRX wake-up are disclosed. An example method of wireless communication at a UE includes receiving a WUS from a base station while performing a DRX cycle, the WUS indicating data for transmission to the UE. The example method also includes at least one receiving a downlink reference signal or transmitting an uplink reference signal based on the WUS and prior to reception of the data, the uplink reference signal transmitted or the downlink reference signal received during an on-duration of the DRX cycle and in response to receiving the WUS. The example method also includes sending a CSI report to the base station based on the WUS and prior to the receiving of the data. The example method also includes receiving the data following the respective receiving or transmitting of the downlink reference signal or uplink reference signal.

A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may transmit capability information including an indication of a discontinuous monitoring delay period. The UE may receive a message including an indication to adjust monitoring of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), and monitor for the PDCCH during the discontinuous monitoring delay period. The UE may adjust monitoring for the PDCCH following the discontinuous monitoring delay period during a temporal period based on the received indication to adjust monitoring of the PDCCH. In some examples, at least one of physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception, downlink reference signal monitoring, uplink reference signal transmissions, and channel reporting is enabled during the temporal period while monitoring of the PDCCH is adjusted.

A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station on multiple component carriers (CCs) in a carrier aggregation (CA) configuration. The base station may transmit an indication to the UE that identifies a new power mode (e.g., a power mode adjustment) that the UE is to implement. The power mode may identify communication parameters that the UE is to adjust. The UE may determine a delay for applying the new power mode on the CCs. The delay may provide the UE time to activate or deactivate components or elements based on the new power mode. In some examples, the UE may determine the delay based on one or more selected CCs and then apply the delay across the CCs. The UE may implement the power mode on one or more (or all) of the CCs following the delay.

Abstract: Wireless devices can use various super-slot formats to facilitate wireless communication using half duplex (HD) frequency-division duplex (FDD) (HD-FDD). A super-slot has a duration that can span over multiple slots and/or subframes. A super-slot can include uplink symbols and downlink symbols. The super-slot can include a guard period that separates uplink symbols from downlink symbols in the same super-slot. A super-slot can support signal repetition to provide coverage enhancement. Signal repetition can be combined with frequency hopping in a super-slot to provide diversity gain.

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE). The UE receives a configuration for wake-up signal (WUS) resources to monitor for a WUS during a WUS occasion associated with a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation. The UE starts a DRX on-duration associated with the WUS without monitoring for the WUS at the WUS occasion, wherein the WUS occasion conflicts in time with at least one of: an active time for the UE, or a radio resource management (RRM) resource for the UE.
