    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for managing beam selection. In one aspect, an initiating wireless device may determine whether a pre-grant acknowledgement associated with a first beam has been received from a responding wireless device within an expected receive time. The initiating wireless device may generate an indication to prevent the initiating wireless device from using the first beam for a blocking duration in response to determining that the pre-grant acknowledgement associated with the first beam has not been received within the expected receive time.

    Abstract: A wireless communication system utilizes a synchronization signal block (SSB) structure to enable beam switching at higher sub carrier spacing (SCS) or uplink transmissions within an SSB. The SSB structure has a first SCS for an SSB transmission and a second SCS for a data transmission. The SSB structure is based on the first SCS and the second SCS, with the SSB structure including at least one gap between SSB symbols or between SSBs. The wireless communication system transmits or receives an SSB based on the SSB structure. A base station may transmit a downlink signal during the gap, for example, where the second SCS is much greater than the first SCS. A user equipment may transmit an uplink signal such as an acknowledgment during the at least one gap. The user equipment or the base station may perform analog beam switching during the at least one gap between SSBs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a transport block (TB) of data from a network, decode the TB of data, transmit to the network a first acknowledgement based on a result of the decoding, receive a signal from the network that includes an acknowledgement retransmission request and a TB indication that indicates a TB of data to which the acknowledgement retransmission request relates, determine a second acknowledgement based on the acknowledgement retransmission request and the TB indication, and transmit the second acknowledgement to the network.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may schedule a plurality of repetitions of at least one system information block for a plurality of dwells within a hop cycle, wherein a subset of dwells, of the plurality of dwells within the hop cycle, includes a resource allocated for a respective portion of a corresponding repetition of a corresponding system information block of the plurality of repetitions of the at least one system information block. The base station may transmit, during the subset of dwells of the plurality of dwells within the hop cycle, the respective portion of the corresponding repetition of the corresponding system information block or another signal punctured into the respective portion of the corresponding repetition of the corresponding system information block.
