    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a configuration to perform multi-panel communications with a base station using a first panel and a second panel of the UE. The base station may transmit indications of a first slot format and a second slot format for the first panel and the second panel for a time period, at least one symbol for the first slot format having a different communication direction than for the second slot format. The base station may indicate the slot formats in a common configuration and a dedicated configuration for the first panel and the second panel. Additionally or alternatively, the base station may indicate the slot formats in a corresponding downlink control information (DCI) message. The UE and the base station may communicate using the first panel and second panel according to the corresponding slot format.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, for example a user equipment (UE), may determine that one or more resource elements associated with a phase-tracking reference signal (PRTS) transmission on a first scheduled physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) are multiplexed with one or more resource elements associated with a data transmission on a second scheduled PUSCH. The UE may puncture the one or more resource elements associated with the data transmission on the second scheduled PUSCH and transmit the PTRS transmission on the first scheduled PUSCH based on puncturing the one or more resource elements associated with the data transmission on the second scheduled PUSCH. Alternatively, the UE may rate match the one or more resources associated with the PTRS transmission around one or more additional resources and transmit the PTRS transmission on the scheduled first PUSCH.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS) to determine channel state information (CSI) processing unit (CPU) occupancy of the UE. The UE and the BS may determine that at least one CPU from a CPU pool is occupied by an uplink CSI request from a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) to at least a CSI request occasion. The UE and the BS may determine a number of occupied CPUs, for example, based on an accumulated or aggregated number of occupied CPUs for multiple CSI operations. The UE may perform a number of CSI operations based on the determined number of occupied CPUs. The BS may configure the UE to perform the number of CSI operations, for example, by transmitting one or more of a configuration, activation, or scheduling message.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for using automatic gain control symbols to indicate a sidelink mini-slot. A method performed by a transmitting user equipment includes transmitting, during a first time portion of a symbol within a slot, a first beam associated with a first receiving user equipment. The first time portion of the symbol is configured to indicate that the first receiving user equipment will receive another transmission from the transmitting user equipment during a first mini-slot within the slot associated with the first time portion. The method may further include transmitting, during a second time portion of the symbol within the slot, a second beam associated with a second receiving user equipment. The second time portion of the symbol is configured to indicate that the second receiving user equipment will receive another transmission from the transmitting user equipment during a second mini-slot within the slot.
