    Abstract: A light-emitting device with high heat resistance in a manufacturing process is to be provided. The light-emitting device includes a second electrode over a first electrode with an EL layer sandwiched therebetween; the EL layer includes at least a light-emitting layer, a first electron-transport layer, a second electron-transport layer, and an electron-injection layer; the first electron-transport layer is over the light-emitting layer; the second electron-transport layer is over the first electron-transport layer; the light-emitting device includes an insulating layer in contact with a side surface of the light-emitting layer, a side surface of the first electron-transport layer, and a side surface of the second electron-transport layer; the electron-injection layer is over the second electron-transport layer; the insulating layer is positioned between the electron-injection layer and the side surface of the light-emitting layer, the side surface of the first electron-transport layer, and the side surface of the second electron-transport layer; and the second electron-transport layer contains a heteroaromatic compound including at least one heteroaromatic ring and an organic compound different from the heteroaromatic compound.

    Abstract: A novel light-emitting device that is highly convenient, useful, or reliable is provided. A light-emitting device including a second electrode over a first electrode with an EL layer sandwiched therebetween is provided. The EL layer includes a light-emitting layer and an oxidation-resistant layer over the light-emitting layer. The EL layer includes a side surface. The light-emitting device includes a block layer in contact with a top surface and the side surface of the EL layer. The second electrode is in contact with the side surface of the EL layer through the block layer. The oxidation-resistant layer includes any one or a plurality of oxides of metals belonging to Group 4 to Group 8 of the periodic table and an organic compound having an electron-withdrawing group.

    Abstract: A light-emitting device with low power consumption is provided. The light-emitting apparatus including a first light-emitting device and a first color conversion layer. The first light-emitting device includes an anode, a cathode, and an EL layer between the anode and the cathode. The EL layer includes a layer including a material with an ordinary refractive index higher than or equal to 1.50 and lower than 1.75 with respect to light with a wavelength longer than or equal to 455 nm and shorter than or equal to 465 nm. The first color conversion layer includes a first substance that absorbs light and emits light. An ordinary refractive index of the first color conversion layer with respect to light with a wavelength longer than or equal to 455 nm and shorter than or equal to 465 nm is higher than or equal to 1.40 and lower than or equal to 2.10. The first color conversion layer is on an optical path of the light emitted from the first light-emitting device to an outside of the light-emitting apparatus.
