摘要： An ice making has an ice making mold with a plurality of ice making cells opened at the bottom, a water tank, water spray nozzles adapted for spraying the water contained in the water tank towards the ice making cells, an ice bin adapted for storage of ice cubes formed in and harvested from the ice making cells, and an inclined plate having water spray openings and recovery openings and mounted between the ice making mold and the water spray nozzles. The ice making cells are each attached to a serpentine evaporator tube, which is cooled by a refrigeration system and also heated by way of electrical pulse energy. The electrical pulse heating of the ice making cells allows ice to be quickly and efficiently harvested from the cells.

摘要： An ambiance lighting system for a vehicular passenger compartment has a variable color light output which is automatically responsive to temperature changes. First and second light sources of different colors (e.g., blue and red) are positioned immediately behind the air discharge vents and are selectively energized by a control circuit so that the first light source radiates light through the vent when the temperature falls below a predetermined value and the second light sources energizes the second color of light when the air temperature rises above a predetermined value. Sensors are used to detect the temperature of air, preferably in the ducting plenum. Various control strategies can be deployed to achieve aesthetically interesting light presentations which enhance ambiance within the passenger compartment.

摘要： Disclosed is a class of reagents for examining protein expression in vivo that does not require transfection, radiolabeling, or the prior choice of a candidate gene. Further, a series of puromycin conjugates was constructed bearing various labeling moieties. These conjugates were readily incorporated into expressed protein products in cell lysates in vitro and efficiently cross cell membranes to function in protein synthesis in vivo as indicated by flow cytometry, selective enrichment studies, and western analysis. The present invention demonstrates that labeled-puromycin conjugates offer a general means to examine protein expression in vivo.

摘要： A method of mixing audio channels is effective at rebalancing the audio without introducing unwanted artifacts or overly softening the discrete presentation of the original audio. This is accomplished between any two or more input channels by processing the audio channels to generate one or more “correlated” audio signals for each pair of input channels. The in-phase correlated signal representing content in both channels that is the same or very similar with little or no phase or time delay is mixed with the input channels. The present approach may also generate an out-of-phase correlated signal (same or similar signals with appreciable time or phase delay) that is typically discarded and a pair of independent signals (signals not present in the other input channel) that may be mixed with the input channels. The provision of both the in-phase correlated signal and the pair of independent signals makes the present approach well suited for the downmixing of audio channels as well.
