Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and to a device for carrying out the method for drying crockery in a dishwasher with a rinse container closeable by means of a door. By means of two or three successive different method steps, the drying is improved. The method steps include a drainage phase, a drying phase with blower or condenser and an automatic, partial opening of the door.
Abstract:
A shape memory alloy actuator is disclosed. In one arrangement, a louvered window covering, such as a vertical or horizontal venetian blind, is provided with a thermal actuator to automatically rotate slats forming the louvered window covering between open and closed positions. The actuator includes at least one shape memory alloy spring that, when heated above a predetermined temperature, extends to engage and move a rack that drives a pinion gear. The pinion gear rotates, through a coupling mechanism, a rod extending the length of the blind. A second shape memory alloy spring may be installed to rotate the rod in the opposite direction. The rod intercouples the slats in a manner such that the rotation of the rod rotates the slats in unison between closed and open positions. The shape memory alloy spring may be heated with a current supplied by a controller in response to a predetermined environmental condition. The venetian blind mechanism's manual actuation would not be compromised or interfered with by the thermal actuator of the use of the thermal actuator because the thermal actuator is not physically coupled to the blind except intermittently.
Abstract:
In event of a collision accident involving a motor vehicle having electric window regulators and power door locks, automatic and immediate door unlocking and window roll-down occurs to aid in passenger egress and emergency medical personnel access without a critical loss of time which might otherwise result in additional passenger injury and risk for the medical personnel. The electrically regulated windows may also be activated whereby their roll-down may be accomplished by operating an exterior door release handle subsequent to an accident, in lieu of automatic roll-down. Motor vehicles having inside door latch disablement setting devices, such as "child protection locks" are also "unlocked" to enable door release by a passenger from inside of the vehicle to avoid dangerous entrapment of the passenger within the damaged vehicle.
Abstract:
A sliding door which is moveable back and forth by a stationary drive motornit, which has a drive pinion meshing with a gear rack attached to the door or the door's bottom rail, the gear rack being made of a series of adjacent rack segments extending in the sliding direction of the door and inserted in a retaining channel affixed to the door, the segments being manufactured as finished molded pieces and attached to each other with uniform tooth pitch along the rack, whereby the rack is low in cost, adaptable to various door displacement distances, and parts which are subject to heavy wear are readily replaceable.
Abstract:
In a method for controlling an automatic door system, after a power-supply switch of the system is turned on, a door of the system initially conducts its low-speed opening/closing operation when a first human-body detection signal is inputted to the system; and then, when the door travels a distance more than a predetermined minimum door stroke, the door conducts its normal-speed opening/closing operation after completion of its traveling the predetermined minimum door stroke to enable the door to conduct its normal-speed operation within a short time after the power-supply switch is turned on.
Abstract:
A sliding door assembly comprises a door, a door frame, a horizontal rolling track on the frame, and door-suspension units each having a member movably mounted along the track and a door-suspension lever pivotally connected to the member and to the door. A roller connected to the lever by a toggle joint mechanism coacts with a cam as the door is slid to or from a closed position to pivot the lever and thus raise and unseat the door as it is opened, and lower and seat the door as it is closed.
Abstract:
A window actuator linkage assembly that includes barrel brackets, a mounting bracket, and a clamping plate for fastening to a moveable portion of a window that facilitates adjustment of the alignment of a chain extending from an actuator positioned on or within a fixed portion of a window to the window actuator linkage assembly. A window actuator linkage assembly can also include elements such as barrel brackets that have openings to receive a fastener, a T-shaped base, and a slotted base bracket having an inner surface that slidably engages with the T-shaped base, and is configured to fix the T-shaped base in a desired position along the length of the slotted base bracket.
Abstract:
A tonneau cover for a vehicle that includes a first panel and a second panel, the second panel is arranged rearward of the first panel in vehicle position when the tonneau cover is in a closed position; the first panel is connected to a first mechanism to guide the first panel into a storage compartment, and the second panel is connected to a second mechanism to guide the second panel into the storage compartment, the first panel is moveable into the storage compartment independently of the second panel.
Abstract:
A vehicle door system includes a door with a door module and a hinge module. The hinge module is attached to the vehicle body. The door module is attached to the hinge module. The hinge module includes a hinge bracket attached to the vehicle body, and a pair of arms extending from the hinge bracket that can pivot relative to the hinge bracket and a cross brace attached at the ends of the arms. The door module attaches to the cross brace. The door module moves along with the cross brace, which moves along with the arms as they pivot relative to the hinge bracket. The door module includes a latch mechanism at a bottom edge, with the latch mechanism engaging with the vehicle body. A lateral edge of the door may seal against a lateral edge of the second door without a latch interface.
Abstract:
A window regulator includes a carrier plate, a guide rail, an ascending-side wire and a descending-side wire, a driving portion, and a turnaround portion. The driving portion includes a rotating drum, a reducer, and a driving motor including a yoke portion that is arranged to be adjacent to one side of the reducer in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the ascending/descending direction. The guide rail is arranged so as to in the orthogonal direction overlap only the ascending-side wire fed out from a first wire feeding-out position at the one side of the rotating drum in the orthogonal direction toward the turnaround portion between the ascending-side wire and the descending-side wire fed out from a second wire feeding-out position at an other side of the rotating drum in the orthogonal direction toward the carrier plate.
