Abstract:
A liquid dispenser. The dispenser includes a base structure, a plurality of cartridges releasably mounted to the base structure, and a valve fluidly coupled with an applicator head to allow continued contact with and selective deposition of the liquid to a product passing through a travel path between the cartridges. At least one of the cartridges is linked to the base structure through a variable coupling that is linearly responsive to changes in thickness or planarity of the product such that the applicator head automatically maintains constant contact with the product, regardless of such changes, without having to stop the dispenser or ancillary pieces of machinery. The cartridges are hand interchangeable such that liquid can be deposited on either an upper or lower surface of the product without requiring any tools to affect top-down or bottom-up deposition. The applicator head is additionally hand removable from the valve such that it can be attached to or removed from the valve without requiring the use of any tools.
Abstract:
An aesthetically enhanced building board is disclosed which is obtained by applying an effective shade coating to concavities of a building board having linear, curved, continuous or discontinuous concavities or any other concavities. In accordance with a cross-sectional geometry in crosswise direction of a groove 5 formed in a surface of a building board (A), level (hs), position (m), and jetting angle (.alpha.) are controlled, thereby a coating is applied in such a manner that color of the coating is deepest in a bottom of the groove 5 and, in sides, it becomes lighter from the bottom to the surface.
Abstract:
An improved hydrant diffuser, comprising a housing or box with one open end, slows and directs the flow of water from a hydrant when the hydrant has been opened to flush a water line. The diffuser can be mounted on any work truck or other vehicle having a class 3 trailer hitch receiver. A hose may be coupled to a fire hydrant to carry water to the diffuser. The other end of the hose is non-releasably attached to a 90-degree elbow which can be coupled to a flange bolted to the top of the diffuser box. The diffuser mounting to the truck includes means that allow the box outlet to be pointed straight back from the truck or in selected positions up to 90 degrees either to the right or left. A debris screen across the outlet end stops any rocks or other solid objects in the water stream.

Abstract:
A steam generating system includes a nozzle for pulverized coal and air which includes an elongated generally cylindrical body having a nozzle at one axial portion thereof. The apparatus also includes a nozzle tip that is generally sleeve shaped and dimensioned to overlap an axial extremity of the body. The tip is mounted for pivotal movement about the extremity of the body and the nozzle tip includes first and second surfaces dimensioned and configured for receiving therebetween all flow from the body. The apparatus also includes a seat plate that is also generally sleeve shaped and dimensioned and configured to provide sealing between the extremity and the nozzle tip. The seal plate is mounted for pivotal movement about the extremity of the body and is dimensioned and configured to have third and fourth surfaces disposed respectively in closely spaced relationship to the first and second surfaces throughout all possible pivotal positions of the seal plate and the nozzle tip. This closely spaced relationship defines an elongated slat for passage of air. The seal plate includes a stop to limit relative pivotal motion between the nozzle tip and the seal plate. The first and second planar surfaces are disposed with the plan thereof parallel to the direction of flow of gases and thus allow the gases to pass through the slot without impediment.
Abstract:
A spray gun for spraying a fluid has a manifold for connection to a supply of fluid, and a nozzle assembly is attached to the manifold. The nozzle assembly has a spray nozzle producing a generally fan-shaped spray pattern lying generally in a plane. The nozzle assembly is rotatable relative to manifold to permit the plane of the spray pattern to be manually reoriented while maintaining the manifold in a fixed position. The spray gun can be activated to produce the directional spray pattern. The nozzle assembly is manually rotated relative to the manifold while the spray gun is activated, and the spray pattern is observed the spray pattern while rotating the nozzle assembly. The rotatable nozzle assembly permits the plane of the spray pattern to be adjusted without turning the spray gun off.
Abstract:
Electrostatic spray appliance for coating material for the spray-coating of articles comprisesa single carrier (4) which carries a plurality of gun barrels (6, 8), so that the carrier (4), together with the gun barrels, forms spray guns. The gun barrels (6, 8) are releasably fastened to the carrier (4). The supply lines (54, 56, 58, 60, 62, 64, 78) are combined to form a line bundle and are led through a movable robot arm (68) in the longitudinal direction of the arm on the side of the carrier (4) facing away from the gun barrels (6, 8). The spray nozzles (12) are preferably slit nozzles having slits arranged obliquely relative to their theoretical connecting line.

Abstract:
An adjustable sprinkler head positioning assembly is disclosed that includes a first conduit member and a second conduit member that are selectively positionable relative to each other and to a drop line fitting so as to position a sprinkler head at a desired location. The first and second conduit members each have an inlet portion and an outlet portion that are offset relative to each other by a predetermined distance. The sprinkler head is positionable anywhere within a circle having a radius equal to the sum of the offsetting distances between the inlet and outlet portions of each conduit member. Elbow couplings further increase versatility. The elbow couplings may have an inlet positioned at a 45.degree. angle or a 90.degree. angle relative to an outlet.A drop line fitting is weldable to a sprinkler drop line and includes a socket for receiving sprinkler system plumbing such as the first and second conduit members.A drop line fitting is releasably secured to a sprinkler pipeline and includes either a socket for receiving sprinkler system plumbing such as the first conduit member or includes a portion having a smooth outer circumferential surface to be received by a socket of sprinkler system plumbing such as the first conduit member.
