摘要: Disk storage devices have exhibited an increase in rotational vibrations which attend high speed rotation due to weight unbalance of a disk. Accordingly, an unbalance correcting mechanism, provided with correcting balls to correct the aforesaid unbalance, meets a problem that the correcting balls are made unstable at the time of low speed rotation to generate vibrations and noises. A disk drive device is provided with an unbalance correcting mechanism comprising an annular-shaped groove provided in a turntable on a spindle motor and a plurality of correcting balls received in the groove, and in which a sliding resistance member is provided on a bottom surface of the annular-shaped groove to suppress a sliding resistance of the correcting balls on the sliding resistance member, and a correcting ball motion auxiliary member is provided on an inner peripheral side wall of the groove (toward an axis of rotation).

摘要: An information processing method and apparatus which uses a memory storing stroke data forming one character together with respective stroke order information to display each stroke data based on the stored stroke order information at an arbitrary speed. In addition, a display speed changing instruction is input into the apparatus and the display speed of the stroke data is changed in response to the display speed changing instruction. In addition, stroke data stored in correspondence to the stroke order information of an input stroke order number is read from the memory and displayed. Further, the stroke data can be displayed under different display conditions such that the stroke order information stored in correspondence to the stroke data can be distinguished from each other.

摘要: A method of detecting a deteriorated condition of a wide range air-fuel ratio sensor is provided. Firstly, a current is applied to an electromotive force cell to detect a voltage Vs0 across electrodes on opposite side surfaces of the cell. Application of the current is suspended, and a voltage drop Vsd1 across the electrodes is detected after lapse of a time ranging from 10 .mu.s to 1 ms after the application of the current is suspended. Based on the voltage drop Vsd1 is detected a first resistance value Rvs1 equated to the temperature of the electromotive force cell. Further, after lapse of a time ranging from 10 ms to 50 ms after the application of the current to the electromotive force cell is suspended, a voltage drop Vsd2 across the electrodes of the electromotive force cell is detected. Based on the voltage drop Vsd2 is detected a second resistance value Rvs2 equated to an internal resistance of the electromotive force cell including a resistance component resulting from deterioration. By comparison of the resistance values Rvs1 and Rvs2, the deteriorated condition of the wide range air-fuel ratio is detected. An apparatus for carrying out such a method is also provided.

摘要: In the present invention, an input handwritten character pattern is subjected to character recognition processing, and a recognition reliability of the character as a standard characteristic feature pattern is determined from the recognition result. If the recognition reliability is low, a warning is issued. In response to the warning, a user or operator can decide whether the character pattern should be registered in the user dictionary (106). If it is decided that the character pattern should be registered in the user dictionary, the character pattern is stored in the user dictionary with the information representing that the character pattern has low recognition reliability. When character patterns registered in the user dictionary are displayed on a screen, these characters are displayed in such a manner that it is possible to distinguish characters having low recognition reliability from characters having high recognition reliability. There is also provided a user name index file (5309) for storing information regarding characteristic features of a handwritten character pattern peculiar to a specific user. Furthermore, there is also provided a password input-and-decision part (5103) for making a decision of whether or not allow to access to the user dictionary based on the information of the handwritten character pattern input by a specific user.

摘要: A recording apparatus preferably usable for desk-set type electronic calculator, computer, word processor, electronic typewriter or the like of the type having a platen detachably incorporated therein. The platen is operatively connected to an upper case. When it is to be removed from the apparatus, the case is first removed and the platen is then displaced away from the operative position by a turning movement in accordance with a removing movement of the case. Recording paper can be placed on the lower guide surface which is exposed to the outside. On completion of placing of the recording paper the case is closed together with the platen by way of the reverse steps until the platen assumes the operative position. To assure that the recording paper is stably held on the lower guide surface even after the platen is displaced away from the operative position, the base board is formed with an opposing pair of semispherical projections on the inner side walls. The platen may be raised up away from the operative position in the vertical direction instead of a turning movement. To inhibit the recording paper from becoming contaminated with ink, a contamination inhibitive plate is interposed between the platen and the printing belt or ring. It is preferable that the contamination inhibitive plate is raised up under the effect of resilient of coil springs at the same time when the platen is displaced away from the operative position.
