Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for time domain single carrier (SC) waveform communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may generate an SC waveform by resampling (e.g., up-sampling) mapped information bits prior to insertion of a cyclic prefix (CP) or guard interval (GI). Performing resampling prior to CP/GI insertion allows for resource allocation flexibility and a base station may allocate resources for the SC waveform in accordance with this flexibility. For example, a base station may not be limited or restricted to a certain number of resources for SC waveform communications and may therefore determine a resource allocation for the UE based on the capability of the UE to perform resampling prior to CP/GI insertion. The resampling may be performed according to a set of parameters including a resampling ratio, which may be indicated to the UE via control signaling (e.g., from the base station).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first transceiver node of a set of transceiver nodes may transmit a control message (e.g., downlink control information (DCI)) to a user equipment (UE). Upon receiving the control message, the UE may switch from a first bandwidth part (BWP) configuration for the first transceiver node to a second BWP configuration for the first transceiver node. Additionally, the UE may switch from BWP configurations for other transceiver nodes of the set of transceiver nodes. Upon switching from the first BWP configuration, the UE may start a timer and may switch from the second BWP configuration to a third BWP configuration upon expiration of the timer. The timer may be restarted each time the UE receives a communication from any of the set of transceiver nodes, a subset of the set of transceiver nodes, or from the first transceiver node.

Abstract: Frequency-selective single frequency network (SFN) operation is disclosed based on a modified Type-II port selection codebook. Within the channel state information (CSI) feedback procedure, a user equipment (UE) observing the CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource configured by the serving base station with two ports configured over multiple sectors of the serving base station may select a precoder from the Type-II port selection codebook which accommodates additional subband amplitude information. The additional subband amplitude information may include a subband dynamic SFN activation indicator. In such a CSI report selected from the Type-II port selection codebook, the UE may indicate to the serving base station both a wideband SFN activation/deactivation and a subband SFN activation/deactivation in addition to the subband phase information. The serving base station may then use this CSI report to activate/deactivate SFN operations in both wideband and subband over each of the participating sectors.

In some aspects, a user equipment may receive scheduling information that schedules a shared channel that is associated with a first beamforming configuration; determine that a gap between the shared channel and a resource associated with a second beamforming configuration fails to satisfy a threshold, wherein the UE is configured to monitor the resource associated with the second beamforming configuration; and modify at least one of the gap to satisfy the threshold or the second beamforming configuration to match the first beamforming configuration based at least in part on determining that the gap fails to satisfy the threshold. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration message indicating that a control resource set for a downlink control channel is associated with a plurality of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the configuration message, that a first set of DMRS resource elements in a first symbol of the control resource set correspond to a first DMRS port of the plurality of DMRS ports and a second set of DMRS resource elements in a second symbol of the control resource set correspond to a second DMRS port of the plurality of DMRS ports. The UE may decode the downlink control channel based at least in part on the determining.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A control resource set (CORESET) may be configured to support multiple transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state control channels. Space division multiplexing (SDM) may be implemented to enable multi-TCI states by using multiple ports and layers. A certain layer and demodulation reference signal (DMRS) port may be associated with a certain TCI state. For orthogonal ports, resources elements (REs) may be assigned such that a first set of REs are assigned to the first DMRS port and a second set of REs are assigned to the second port. The multiple DMRS ports may be code division multiplexed (CDM'd) within an RE such that multiple DMRS ports may be associated with the same RE. For non-orthogonal ports, the same RE may be used for multiple TCI states, where scrambling sequences may be applied to DMRSs associated with the TCI states.
