Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method includes receiving a random access configuration for the UE, the random access configuration indicating a subcarrier spacing for random access preambles of a random access procedure and a periodicity of slots including random access channel occasions for transmission of the random access preambles, where the periodicity of the slots is based on the subcarrier spacing for the random access preambles, determining a random access radio network temporary identifier based on the periodicity of the slots and a slot index for a slot in which the UE is to transmit a random access preamble, and transmitting, in the slot, the random access preamble indicating the determined random access radio network temporary identifier.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication. A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) indicating two or more transmission configuration indication (TCI) states for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The UE may differentiate that the two or more TCI states apply to all demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports or all transmission layers across all resource blocks and symbols for the PDSCH from TCI states that apply to different sets of DMRS ports or different sets of resource blocks or symbols. The UE may generate a composite quasi-co-location (QCL) based on the two or more TCI states in response to the differentiating. The UE may receive the PDSCH based on the composite QCL.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may determine a first uplink configured grant configuration corresponding to a first value of a control resource set (CORESET) pool index, and determine a second uplink configured grant configuration corresponding to a second value of the CORESET pool index different from the first value of the control resource set pool index. The UE may transmit a first uplink transmission during a first uplink grant occasion according to the first uplink configured grant configuration and a second uplink transmission during a second uplink grant occasion according to the second uplink configured grant configuration. Both the first uplink transmission and the second uplink transmission may correspond to a same transport block and a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) identifier.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device such as a user equipment (UE) or a base station may identify a beam switching capability of the UE, the beam switching capability indicating a threshold quantity of beam switches during a transmission time interval, a threshold quantity of symbol periods between beam switching operations, or a combination thereof. The device may determine that the beam switching capability of the UE is satisfied based at least in part on one or more parameters (e.g., one or more symbol period durations, one or more quantities of beam switches during a transmission time interval, one or more adjustment parameters, one or more threshold values associated with the capability of the UE, etc.). The device may perform one or more beam switching operations based on determining that the beam switching capability is satisfied.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Data may be received during transmission time intervals (TTIs) that have a short duration relative to other TTIs. The short-duration TTIs may occur within or overlap a longer duration TTI, such as a subframe. Feedback responsive to the data may be generated and assigned for transmission during an uplink TTI according to a feedback timing or delay, which may be selected to reduce latency or balance the payload size of uplink messages sent during the assigned uplink TTI. Data and feedback assignments in short-duration TTIs may be configured based on a time division duplexing (TDD) configuration for some TTIs (e.g., subframes). TTIs that are a Long Term Evolution (LTE) subframe, an LTE slot, and a duration of two LTE symbol periods may be supported. Portions of special TTIs may be used for transmissions according to shorter-duration TTIs.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for selecting a minimum measurement duration in listen-before-talk (LBT) sensing slots for high band unlicensed channel access. In some examples, a device may select a minimum sensing duration for an LBT procedure according to a sensing bandwidth or an energy threshold (such as an energy detection threshold or an energy power spectral density threshold), or both. As part of the LBT procedure, the device may measure or sense a wireless channel for at least the selected minimum sensing duration in each sensing slot of the LBT procedure. The device may selectively transmit on the wireless channel according to a result of the LBT procedure. For example, the device may either transmit or refrain from transmitting on the wireless channel depending on whether the device senses the wireless channel to be available.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to random access channel (RACH) enhancements for new radio unlicensed (NR-U) communications. Specifically, the present aspects include determining whether a gap length between a two-step random access channel (RACH) preamble transmission and a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission satisfies a gap condition. The present aspects further include selecting a transmission procedure associated with the determined gap length for the PUSCH transmission. The present aspects further include performing the PUSCH transmission in accordance with the selected transmission procedure.

Abstract: The apparatus is configured to transmit and/or receive GDMRS that may be scrambled based on a same scrambling identifier (ID) and shared for a plurality of UEs or channels. The apparatus, in some configurations, is further configured to multiplex, in time, data for the plurality of UEs or channels into different segments within each symbol in a set of symbols. The apparatus is further configured to transmit and/or receive the multiplexed data for the plurality of UEs or channels. In some configurations, the apparatus is further configured to demodulate the received data based on the GDMRS, and extract at least one segment for a UE or a plurality of channels associated with the apparatus within the demodulated data for subsequent decoding at the apparatus. In some configurations the extraction is based on a SLIV transmitted and/or received by the apparatus.
