摘要: The present invention relates to a wavelength multiplexing apparatus for multiplexing and/or demultiplexing a plurality of optical signals in the wavelength region and a signal conversion apparatus for interfacing a transmission line corresponding to any of the optical signals with the wavelength multiplexing apparatus. By using these apparatus according to the invention, the signal to be a reference for synchronization between the wavelength multiplexing apparatus and the signal conversion apparatus is reliably delivered via an existing optical transmission line therebetween, without the reduction of transmission quality and the limitation on modulation systems. Therefore, in an optical transmission system with the present invention applied thereto, it is possible to meet conditions for office establishment and arrangement of the apparatus and satisfy the demands for maintenance/operation flexibly and at a low cost. Further, service quality and reliability are maintained at high levels.

摘要: Exemplary embodiments provide a projector by which quality of projection images are ensured even when the attitude of the projector changes. A projector includes a light source, a liquid crystal panel as an optical conversion unit to convert the exiting light from the light source, and a cooling device to cool the liquid crystal panel using a cooling medium. The cooling device includes a circulation pipe for the cooling medium, a circulation pump to circulate the cooling medium, a detection switch, as a detecting unit to detect that the circulating direction of the cooling medium in the liquid crystal panel to be cooled is the attitude for circulating from top to bottom, and a switching unit to switch the circulating direction of the cooling medium to cool the liquid crystal panel so that the circulating direction of the cooling medium may be from bottom to top based on the detection result by the detection switch.

摘要: A hermetic compressor of the present invention is provided with one or more small holes 17 formed in the shell of the suction muffler 16 formed with a low thermal conductivity material such as synthetic resin. The small holes 17 are positioned at nodes 18 in a vibration mode for the resonance frequency of the space formed in the hermetic shell, so that amplification of the resonance sound of the space in the hermetic shell 1 is suppressed. Furthermore, a shortage of the refrigerant is supplemented by the refrigerant gas sucked from the hermetic shell 1 through the small holes 17 when it occurs due to a suction loss caused by the resistance of the flow path for guiding a high density refrigerant gas from the suction tube into the cylinder 8 according to the circulation of the refrigerant.

摘要: A recording apparatus for recording on a recording medium includes plural heat generation-activated recording elements, and a discrimination circuit for discriminating the waiting time between the termination of a first recording operation and beginning of a second recording operation. Control circuitry is provided for varying, in accordance with the waiting time, the number of auxiliary heat generation operations for the recording elements in order to heat the elements to a temperature which is lower than a recording temperature and insufficient to perform recording.
