Abstract:
According to one aspect, the disclosure is directed to an example embodiment in which a circuit-based arrangement includes a circuit-based substrate securing a channel, with an effective width that is not limited by the Debye screening length, along a surface of the substrate. A pair of reservoirs are included in or on the substrate and configured for containing and presenting a sample having bio-molecules for delivery in the channel. A pair of electrodes electrically couple a charge in the sample to enhance ionic current flow therein (e.g., to overcome the electrolyte screening), and a sense electrode is located along the channel for sensing a characteristic of the biological sample by using the electrostatic interaction between the enhanced ionic current flow of the sample and the sense electrode. Actual detection occurs by using a charge-signal processing circuit to process the sensed charge signal and, therefrom, provide an output indicative of a signature for the bio-molecules delivered in the channel.
Abstract:
A mechanism is provided for managing a high speed memory. An index entry indicates a storage unit in the high speed memory. A corresponding non-free index is set for a different type of low speed memory. The indicated storage unit in the high speed memory is assigned to a corresponding low speed memory by including the index entry in the non-free index. The storage unit in the high speed memory is recovered by demoting the index entry from the non-free index. The mechanism acquires a margin performance loss corresponding to a respective non-free index in response to receipt of a demotion request. The margin performance loss represents a change in a processor read operation time caused by performing a demotion operation in a corresponding non-free index. The mechanism compares the margin performance losses of the respective non-free indexes and selecting a non-free index whose margin performance loss satisfies a demotion condition as a demotion index. The mechanism selects an index entry from the demotion index to perform the demotion operation.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a helical slow-wave structure, including a helix, a metal barrel and several supporting rods. The plurality of supporting rods may be inserted into the lines of the grooves tightly, this increases the contact area between the helix and the plurality of supporting rods. With a proper assembly method, the thermal contact resistance between helix and supporting rod may be decreased. So, the invention may enhance the capability of transferring the heat out of the helical slow-wave structure. The helix may have higher heat capacity, therefore, the helical slow-wave structure may become more firm, and more reliable.
Abstract:
A connector module includes a single port connector and a circuit board capable of assembling with a multi-ports connector. The single port connector includes a receiving room and a number of first fixing pins formed at opposite sides of the receiving room along a longitudinal direction of the receiving room. The first fixing pins at each side of the receiving are arranged in a same way. The multi-ports connector includes at least two of the receiving room and the first fixing pins formed at opposite sides of each receiving room. The circuit board defines a group of first fixing holes corresponding to the first fixing pins formed at each side of the receiving rooms of the multi-ports connector. The single port connector is mounted on the circuit board by selectively inserting the first fixing pins into every two adjacent groups of the first fixing holes.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for customer loan lifecycle modeling using discrete event simulation methodology. Discrete Event Simulation (DES) allows for modeling to occur at the customer and/or account level, such that the process captures customer-specific or loan-specific attributes/exposure factors, such as, but not limited to, credit score(s), House Price Index (HPI), loan product type, unemployment rates, interest rates and the like. Such modeling takes into the account that loan events occur at random paces and are typically dependent on ancillary factors, such as, availability of financial resources, market demand, customer attributes and the like, which all tend to be stochastic by nature.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a frame boundary detection system and a synchronization system for a data stream received by an Ethernet Forward Error Correction layer. The frame boundary detection system includes a shifter, two descramblers, a syndrome generator and trapper. The error trapper includes a big-little endian mode controller for controlling the big-little endian conversion of the error trapper. If the error trapper operates in the big endian mode, the error trapper implements the function of the syndrome generator, operates at the same time with the syndrome generator, and performs a second FEC check, wherein when the shifter performs the FEC check by intercepting data with a length of one frame plus A bits, two start positions of the frame can be verified, where A is a positive integer less than a length of one frame. The invention can improve the frame boundary detection speed and the frame synchronization speed, and increase only a few hardware overheads.
Abstract:
A ground radiation antenna is disclosed. Herein, the ground radiation antenna provides a ground radiator inducing resonance by using the inductance of a ground. Since the ground radiator efficiently uses the inductance of the ground, the ground radiator may operate as a radiator of the ground radiation antenna by using a simple structure of combining a capacitive element with the ground. As described above, by providing an antenna radiator having a remarkably simple structure, the fabrication cost for the antenna may be decreased, and the size of the antenna may also be largely reduced.
Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a wireless bearing building method, an Access Point (AP) equipment, a User Equipment (UE) and a wireless access system, the UE divides the IP date flow of a service into multiple service date flow having different QoS requirements according to media parameter information, determines QoS parameters of each service date flow and sends the information of the service date flow and the corresponding QoS parameters to the AP, the AP allocates wireless resources for each service date flow according to the local QoS strategy, builds the corresponding wireless bearing and binds the service date flow and the wireless bearing; the UE side also builds the corresponding wireless bearing for each service date flow and binds the service date flow and the wireless bearing, during the uplink and downlink date transmission, the AP and UE in the present invention can map each service date flow to the corresponding wireless bearing respectively for transmission according to the QoS requirements of different service date flow, implements perfect service mechanism of the QoS.
