Abstract:
A tool for analyzing software. The tool identifies calls to framework components made from within one or more application programs. The information may be processed to indicate usage of framework components. This usage information may be aggregated over a pool of application programs to derive statistical usage information for each component in the framework, allowing components to be selected for inclusion in a compact framework. Usage information may also be used for scheduling development tasks so that the most widely used framework components are developed first or to estimate the amount of development required to modify an application program for execution against a target framework.
Abstract:
Current embodiments provide for authorization and payment of an online commercial transaction between a purchaser and a merchant including verification of an identity of the purchaser and verification of an ability of the purchaser to pay for the transaction, where the identity provider and the payment provider are often different network entities. Other embodiments also provide for protocols, computing systems, and other mechanisms that allow for identity and payment authentication using a mobile module, which establishes single or multilevel security over an untrusted network (e.g., the Internet). Still other embodiments also provide for a three-way secure communication between a merchant, consumer, and payment provider such that sensitive account information is opaque to the merchant, yet the merchant is sufficiently confident of the consumer's ability to pay for requested purchases. In yet another embodiment, electronic billing information is used for authorization, auditing, payment federation, and other purposes.
Abstract:
A method of embedding a printable medium is provided, and includes embedding the printable medium with one or more position codes. A method of reconstructing an image presentation system also is disclosed, and includes scanning portions of the image presentation system and orientating the portions according to one or more position codes embedded on the printable medium of the image presentation system.
Abstract:
Relatively-temporary applications may be installed. As a result of the installation and/or execution of such an application, an associated application isolated storage unit may be established. When established, the application isolated storage unit is designated for private storage use by the associated application. Additionally, a linkage between the application isolated storage unit and the associated application is created. Upon initiation of a reclamation procedure, the linkage from the application isolated storage unit is traced to the indicated location of the associated application. If the associated application no longer exists, the application isolated storage unit is deleted so as to reclaim the memory space.
Abstract:
The present inventive subject matter provides various embodiments of systems and methods useful in print job accounting. Some such embodiments include adding a first queue to a print path, routing a print job to the first queue, and attaching a print job identifier to the print job.
Abstract:
The instant invention is a programmable, multi-colored, digital pool light system capable of operating multiple light sources and varying the power provided to each light bulb providing virtually unlimited amounts of light intensity, color blending and saturation. The light bulbs are mounted in a heat absorbing plate and light dispersing dichroic lenses are mounted above selected light bulbs. The program is operated by the ON/OFF switch.
Abstract:
A printer component comprises an interface configured for removably electrically coupling to a printer and a memory that stores a unique identifier of the printer through the interface if the interface is electrically coupled to the printer.
Abstract:
A set of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for a resource-limited environment are disclosed. The APIs provide a mechanism for a computer application to interface with various components and modules of an operating system for a resource-limited environment. The APIs further provide a mechanism to interface with input/output devices commonly found in embedded systems running in a resource-limited environment.

Abstract:
A support arm for components such as flat screen monitors. In one embodiment, the support arm includes rigid arm segment and a flexible arm segment. The flexible arm segment may be mounted adjacent to the supported component. The flexible arm segment includes a plurality of flexible tubes, each having a core surrounding by a filling material and a flexible coiled tube. Preferably, at least one of the flexible tubes is fixed at both ends while at least one of the flexible tubes includes a free floating end that is permitted to move longitudinally with respect to the fixed tube as the flexible arm is moved.
