Abstract: Various embodiments include an apparatus to be employed by an enhanced Node B (eNB), the apparatus comprising communication circuitry to receive, from a user equipment (UE), feedback information and control circuitry, coupled with the communication circuitry, to identify a codeword from a three-dimensional codebook based on the feedback information received from the UE, wherein the communication circuitry is further to precode data to be transmitted to the UE based on the codeword. An apparatus to be employed by a UE and additional methods are described.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are described to encode a trigger frame for a second station (STA2). A first sounding frame for the STA2 is generated. The first timestamp is associated with a transmission of the first sounding frame. A second sounding frame from the STA2 based upon the first sounding frame is decoded. The second sounding frame includes a holding time indication associated with a second timestamp and a third timestamp. A fourth timestamp is associated with receiving the second sound frame. The holding time indication is protected. A round-trip time is calculated based upon the first timestamp, the holding time indication, and the fourth timestamp.

For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause a wireless station to generate a plurality of sounding sequences corresponding to a plurality of stations (STAs), the plurality of sounding sequences including at least first and second different sounding sequences, the first sounding sequence corresponding to at least one first STA of the plurality of STAs, the second sounding sequence corresponding to at least one second STA of the plurality of STAs; during a Multi-User (MU) ranging measurement, to transmit a MU frame to indicate a MU Downlink (DL) transmission; and, following the MU frame, to transmit a MU DL Null Data Packet (NDP) transmission to the plurality of STAs, the MU DL NDP transmission including a plurality of Long Training Fields (LTFs) including the plurality of sounding sequences.

Abstract: Technology for decreasing latency for contention based scheduling request (SR) is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can randomly select a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble index for a PRACH transmission. The UE can multiplex the PRACH preamble index together with a SR message containing a cell radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI) and a buffer status report (BSR) for the PRACH transmission. The UE can process, for transmission, to an enhanced node B (eNB), the PRACH preamble index multiplexed with the SR message in a subframe #(n) of the PRACH transmission, wherein n is a subframe number.

In one aspect, a method of a high efficiency (HE) station (STA) (HE STA) includes encoding an aggregated control subfield of a high throughput (HT) Control field to signal one or more of: a request to use dual carrier modulation (DCM), a request to use a particular resource unit, an uplink (UL) power headroom indication, and an indication that the HE STA is using a minimum transmit power for a current modulation and coding scheme (MCS). The method also includes configuring the HE STA to transmit a HE-PPDU including the HT control field.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are apparatuses, systems, and methods using or implementing full-dimension multi-input multi-output (FD-MIMO) and providing collision reduction by transmitting data to an evolved Node-B (eNB) on an uplink (UL) resource; and receiving an acknowledgement (ACK) or negative acknowledgment (NACK) on a physical HARQ-ACK indicator channel (PHICH), responsive to transmitting the data on the UL resource. The PHICH may be mapped to a least physical resource block (PRB) that is offset by a PHICH offset. The PHICH offset may include a group offset and a sequence offset relative to a transport block (TB) index and first PRB index of a corresponding uplink shared channel. Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods to provide an indication of frequency resource unit (RU) allocation from a wireless access point (AP) to one or more station devices (STA) are disclosed. The AP may be configured to generate a protocol data unit including a high efficiency wireless (HEW) preamble that indicates the RU allocation corresponding to each of the STA. The indication of the RU allocation for each of the STA, as disclosed herein, may be encoded in fewer bits than providing a bitmap of the RU allocation for each of the STA. A predetermined RU pattern may be used to map RU (e.g., 26 tone units, 52 tone units, etc.) to a RU allocation index. This RU allocation pattern may be efficiently communicated to each of the STAs in the HEW preamble of the protocol data unit.
