Abstract: Disclosed is an antenna for railway vehicles including: a plurality of photonic band gaps PGB cells, placed adjacent each other and made of a layer of low dielectric properties material placed on a metal ground plane, wherein each photonic band gap cell form a reflector of the antenna; a plurality of first metallic bars, placed on top of the PBG cells; and a plurality of second metallic bars, each embedded, at least partially, in the thickness of the low dielectric properties material. The second metallic bars are each roughly perpendicular to the respective reflector.

Abstract: The invention concerns a control and monitoring device for a switch machine of a railway switch comprising: a power supply for providing a switch motor of the switch machine with a current, the switch motor being adapted to move points of the railway switch, a relay having a primary contact connected electrically to the power supply via at least one line and a secondary contact adapted to be electrically connected to the switch motor; the relay being adapted to switch on and off the power provided to the switch motor; at least one current sensor adapted to sense the current to be provided to the switch motor at the at least one line between the power supply and the relay; at least one voltage sensor adapted to sense a voltage to be provided to the switch motor at the at least one line between the power supply and the relay; a monitoring module connected to the at least one current sensor and the at least one voltage sensor, wherein the monitoring module is adapted to record the measured current and voltage values.

Abstract: A railway traction vehicle comprising a plurality of axles, a fuel gas power unit (112), a fuel gas storage assembly (118) including a predetermined number of fuel gas storage modules (122), and a fuel gas delivery network (120). The fuel gas storage assembly (118) comprises a plurality of identical fuel gas storage module receiving devices (124), and, for each of said receiving devices, an identical fuel gas coupling (126) for coupling a module (122) with said network (120). The modules (122) share a standardised configuration such that each of them can be received in any of said receiving devices (124) and coupled to the corresponding fuel gas coupling (126). They are distributed over said fuel gas storage module receiving devices (124) such that the load on the axles is optimised. The predetermined number is adapted to the amount of fuel gas needed by the vehicle to operate on a predetermined railway line. Preferred application to regional passenger multiple units.

Abstract: A system controls a level crossing of a railway track installation. The railway track installation includes at least one track. The system includes at least two magnetometers associated with the at least one track and placed at corners of a crossing area between the at least one track and a road. The system also includes a level crossing control unit configured for receiving data from the magnetometers. Each magnetometer is arranged to detect a respective magnetic field vector of the earth's magnetic field and to send data representative of the magnetic field vector to the control unit. The control unit is configured to elaborate the data to detect changes in the magnetic field vectors due to the presence of a train in the crossing area and to control the level crossing as a function of the detected changes.

Abstract: This test method for validating a specification of a graphical interface consists of developing a scenario file corresponding to the validation test to be performed. The scenario file includes a plurality of instructions, in a natural programming language, each instruction including a function, parameters and an expected state of the graphical interface following the application of the function. The test is automatically performed by interpreting the scenario file so as to generate commands intended for an engine capable of interacting with the graphical interface and monitoring the evolution of its current state, and then analyzing a result file associating each instruction of the scenario file with a result corresponding to the comparison of the current state of the graphical interface following the application of the corresponding command with the expected state.
