Abstract:
The present invention relates to a content recommendation method in which pieces of information collected over an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network are analyzed through data mining, a semantic pattern is identified from the information and described based on ontology, the characteristics of content to be offered are recorded in ontology and language morphological pattern, and a recommendation filter in terms of various viewpoints and methods is operated in an integrated recommendation framework, thus enabling content recommendation suitable for various contexts to be performed. The method includes the steps of receiving user information, creating personal preference information based on the user information, deciding a recommendation strategy based on the preference information for content, combining recommendation functions using the recommendation strategy and the content information, personalizing recommendation results with respect to the combination, and providing the personalized content information.Furthermore, the method for recommending content with context awareness according to the present invention has an advantage in that it can offer more efficient and accurate content to mobile terminal users as a mobile communication network is expanded into an IMS basis and opened and therefore the types and number of content accessible by mobile terminals as well as mobile phones increase abruptly. Furthermore, the method for recommending content with context awareness according to the present invention is advantageous in that it can analogize the life pattern of a mobile terminal user, etc. based on the user's current context information and offers content matching the inferred life pattern at the right time and place.

Abstract:
A watch phone and a method for handling an incoming call using the watch phone are provided. In the watch phone, a display device includes a touch screen panel and a display, turns off the touch screen panel in a watch mode, turns on the touch screen panel in an idle mode or upon receipt of an incoming call, and displays at least two areas for call connection and call rejection, upon receipt of the incoming call. A single mode selection key selects one of the watch mode and the idle mode. A controller performs control operations so that the touch screen panel is turned off in the watch mode and is turned on in the idle mode or upon receipt of the incoming call, and connects or rejects the incoming call, when the at least two areas for call connection or call rejection, which are displayed upon receipt of the incoming call, are pointed to or dragged to.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an interaction method between an automatic repeat request (ARQ) and a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) in a system having a long roundtrip delay. A transmission window for the ARQ is operated using inner feedback information from the HARQ, and a waiting window is operated using ARQ status information.
Abstract:
A mobile satellite transmission/reception apparatus and a communications route control method using the same are disclosed. The mobile satellite transmission/reception apparatus comprises: a first antenna unit configured to receive a signal along a first communications route; a second antenna unit configured to receive a signal along a second communications route; and a data processor configured to compare cyclic redundancy check (CRC) values with respect to packet streams of signals respectively received by the first and second antenna units, and change communications route to one of the first and second communications routes if packets having the same CRC value are detected.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a phase error estimating an apparatus and a method which provides improved convergence speed and tracking speed even in mobile channel environment by variably applying the step size for phase error estimation according to channel status. The apparatus for estimating a phase error includes: a posterior probability (APP) average calculating unit for calculating an APP average value from a soft decision result of a currently received symbol; a step size determining unit for determining a step size variably according to channel status; and a phase error estimating unit for estimating a phase error of the currently received symbol from a phase error of a previously received symbol and the APP average value by using the variably determined step size.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for estimating carrier wave or doppler frequency offset based on an approximated quadratic non-linear function in fine search, and a receiver employing the method. The method for estimating frequency offset includes the steps of: a) extracting more than three discrete samples in an order where the discrete samples are close to a maximum value of a power spectrum density function; b) inducing a quadratic non-linear function by using the extracted discrete samples; and c) estimating the frequency offset from a maximum point of the quadratic non-linear function. The technology of the present research makes it possible to exactly estimate frequency offset without increasing hardware complexity in estimation of carrier wave or doppler frequency offset.
Abstract:
There is provided a method for packet scheduling in a selective hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) including the steps of: increasing a priority of a receiver buffer after a packet is transmitted to the receiver; receiving a feedback packet for the transmitted packet and determining whether the feedback packet is an ACK packet or a NACK packet; lowering the priority of the receiver buffer if the feedback packet is an ACK packet; determining whether the feedback packet is a NACK packet for initial transmission or the feedback packet is a NACK packet for retransmission if the feedback packet is the NACK packet, increasing the priority of the receiver buffer if the feedback packet is the NACK packet for the initial transmission, and lowering the priority of the receiver buffer if the feedback packet is the NACK packet for retransmission; and scheduling packets after calculating a priority of each receiver buffer by performing the priority increasing step to the determining step for all of receivers.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for handover between heterogeneous networks using a link trigger signal in a multi-interface mobile router. The method includes: maintaining a state of a second network access interface in a sleep state, activating a first network access interface, receiving and transmitting the first network service to a subordinate node in the mobile router located in a first network; when the mobile router senses a second network link-up trigger signal while moving to the second network, changing the state of the second network access interface into an active state and performing handover; and receiving a second network service through the activated second network access interface in the mobile router performing the handover and transmitting the second network service to the subordinate node.
Abstract:
Provided is a stack-type semiconductor package including a base chip having a circuit formed on one of its surfaces, at least one stack chip having a circuit stacked on the base chip, an adhesive interposed between the base chip and the stack chip, and signal transmission members formed along a lateral surface of the stack chip. The fabrication process of this stack-type semiconductor package may be simplified and the number of process operations may be lessened, thereby reducing the production time and cost. Also, a state of electrical contact of a terminal with a signal transmission member may be solidified, thereby improving the reliability of the stack-type semiconductor package. Furthermore, new post-type signal transmission members are adopted instead of wires or electrodes so that the structural stability and productivity of the stack-type semiconductor package may be markedly enhanced.
