    Abstract: In one embodiment, a housing system for a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit includes a rigid shell. The rigid shell includes a top panel, a front panel, and a rear panel. The HVAC unit also includes a bottom panel configured to be disposed within a first portion of a bottom plane of the HVAC unit, a first side panel, and a second side panel. The first side panel and the second side panel are each configured to be disposed within respective side planes of the HVAC unit and are each configured to be disposed within respective second portions of the bottom plane. The housing system is configured to be internally accessed through the respective side planes. Internal access of the housing system through either of the respective side planes is provided at least partially by rotation of the first side panel and/or the second side panel.

    Abstract: An actuator controls the operation of a valve member to achieve desired flow or no-flow states through different inlet ports of the valve in response to different types of input signals from one or more input sources. In some embodiments, the actuator drives the valve member along a first portion of a travel path to regulate flow through a first inlet port using analog or binary input signal(s) from a first input source, and drives the valve member along a second portion of the travel path to regulate flow through a second inlet port using analog or binary input signal(s) from a second input source. In some embodiments the actuator drives the valve member along the entire travel path to regulate flow through each of the first inlet port and the second inlet port responsive to an analog input signal from a single input source.

    Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) unit includes a drain pan configured to collect condensate generated by the HVAC unit. The HVAC unit also includes a drain spout having a rigid outlet port coupled to the drain pan and a flexible conduit coupled to the rigid outlet port. The drain spout is adjustable between a first configuration configured to discharge the condensate from the HVAC unit via a first opening of the HVAC unit and a second configuration configured to discharge the condensate from the HVAC unit via a second opening of the HVAC unit.

    Abstract: A refrigerant leak management system includes a controller is configured to receive a signal indicative of a refrigerant pressure within a refrigerant circuit and determine whether the refrigerant pressure is indicative of a refrigerant leak in the refrigerant circuit.     Abstract: A self-perturbing extremum-seeking controller for a plant that includes at least a static portion includes a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to obtain a value of a performance variable characterizing a performance of the plant. The processing circuit is configured to determine a sign of a gradient of the performance variable with respect to an input to the static portion of the plant. The processing circuit is configured to adjust a control input for the plant using the sign of the gradient, and provide the control input to the plant to affect the performance variable.
