    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for optimization of information required for establishing an initial connection with a network device. According to some embodiments, a system can comprise receiving a service request from a network device. The system can further comprise determining a first size of a network device capabilities message, wherein the determining is based on a second size of the network device capability message previously collected from the network device; and based on a first result of analyzing the first size of the network device capabilities message and a message size threshold, determining that the network device capabilities message is not greater than the message size threshold, and requesting the network device to provide the network device capabilities message associated with network device capabilities in accordance with a single step enquiry.

According to some embodiments, a system can comprise receiving data packets associated with a quality of service value, wherein the data packets are stored in a buffer and transmitted utilizing a first link, determining whether a condition that indicates a modification to a data routing schedule is satisfied and whether a second link is available, and in response to the determining indicating that the condition is satisfied and that the second link is available, performing the modification of the data routing schedule comprising utilizing the second link and the first link to transmit the data packets associated with the quality of service value.

    Abstract: Facilitating fast return to stand alone advanced networks (e.g., 5G, 6G, and beyond) after voice fall back is provided herein. Operations of a method can comprise receiving, from a first network device and by a second network device, a connection request that comprises an indication of a fall back procedure. The fall back procedure can be an “RRC release and redirect” or an “IRAT Handover.” The method also can comprise facilitating control of the voice communication for the mobile device and triggering a release of the control of the mobile device from the second network device based on a determination that the voice communication has completed. The fast return procedure can be either a “RRC release and redirect’ or an “IRAT handover.” Further, the method can comprise redirecting the mobile device to a third network device selected based on a capability of the mobile device.

    Abstract: When a sub6 user equipment (UE) device is in a millimeter wave (mmW) cell coverage, the sub6 UE device can improperly display a 5G+ icon based on a long term evolution (LTE) anchor cell. However, if the sub6 UE device moves to an area comprising a sub6 cell, when the sub6 UE device is on the LTE cell, the sub6 UE device can utilize the sub6 cell and thus properly display the 5G icon, due to the 5G availability on the sub6 band. Additionally, when the sub6 UE device transitions to a mmW and sub6 area, then the 5G icon can also be appropriately displayed because the sub6 UE device can utilize the sub6 cell from the LTE anchor cell even if the sub6 UE device cannot utilize another mmW cell.

    Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards adaptively selecting a repetition level in wireless communications, based on events to improve coverage range via the repetition level while not unnecessarily reducing throughput. One such event can include a current signal-to-noise-ratio, e.g., as reported in a channel quality indicator report from a user equipment. Another such event can comprise a number of consecutive hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgments or negative acknowledgments (HARQ ACKS/NACKS), in which consecutive ACKs tend to indicate good signal quality, while consecutive NACKs tend to indicate poor signal quality. A combination of channel quality indicator-based adaptive repetition level and HARQ ACK/NACK-based adaptive repetition level can be employed.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for facilitating informing a radio access network of the capabilities of a user equipment device with regard to switching and aggregation of streams received from master and secondary base station devices. Different user equipment device may have different capabilities with regard to aggregated and combining streams received from the base station devices (e.g., split bearer) or switching between the streams (fast switching). The embodiments described herein provide a way for the UE to inform the radio access network about the capabilities of the UE device. In an embodiment, in response to receiving a query from the radio access network, the UE can return via a UE resource capability information element, an indicator indicating the capabilities of the UE device. The indicator can be an integer bit that has different values depending on the capabilities of the UE device.
