    摘要: An orthopedic fixture has a support member adapted to be positioned around a diseased or injured part of a patient's body and conformed to the shape of the diseased or injured part, and at least one buffer member comprised of a mixture containing a predetermined amount of elastic granules and a predetermined amount of a water-curable resin having an elasticity after curing sufficient for bonding the elastic granules after curing of the water-curable resin. The mixture of the buffer member forms a mass before curing of the water-curable resin so that when the support member is positioned around the diseased or injured part and pressure is applied to the mass, the elastic granules move one another to shape the mass into a configuration corresponding to the shape of the diseased or injured part.

    摘要: A vehicle steering system includes a sound absorbing material made of sponge and attached to an elastic joint which connects a second steering shaft extending from a steering wheel and a third steering shaft extending from a steering gear box to each other. The sound absorbing material faces an opening in a joint cover which is mounted on a dashboard and through which the second steering shaft passes. Therefore, the sound absorbing material absorbs noise which is produced in the steering gear box such that the noise does not pass from the engine room side through the opening in the joint cover to the vehicle compartment side, thereby preventing transmission of the noise to the vehicle compartment side. Further, the sound absorbing material requires only a simple shape and construction, thereby reducing the cost. Furthermore, the sound absorbing material does not come into sliding contact with the second steering shaft, and thus does not produce sliding noise or sliding resistance.

A service server stores the image data obtained by photography of the user by a photography system, by relating the image data to the user ID of the user. When the user instructs the service server to display the image data for preview via a communication apparatus, the service server sends the image data to a PDA via the communication apparatus. The user displays the image data on the PDA and can preview and edit the image data, and can place a printing order.

    摘要: An operational amplifier including a pair of differential input transistors is provided with a feedback resistor switching circuit and a variable current source. When a loaded optical disk is a DVD-ROM, the feedback resistor switching circuit reduces a gain of the operational amplifier and the variable current source selects a large current (of, for example, 1 mA) as a common bias current supplied to the differential input transistors. When the loaded optical disk is a DVD-RAM with low reflectance and low recording/reproducing speed, the feedback resistor switching circuit enhances the gain of the operational amplifier and the variable current source selects a small current (of, for example, 0.5 mA) as the common bias current.

In a case in which an image data input to a data sorting portion is determined to be a patch image, the data is transmitted from the data sorting portion to a correction value operating portion and a curve (&ggr; curve) of exposure to be referenced and a &ggr; curve based on the read patch image are compared. Then, correction is operated and the corrected value is transmitted to a data converting portion. The image data of each frame is corrected in accordance with the correction value.
